Most heartbreaking Trials stories
I wanna hear your most heartbreaking stories that kept you from getting to the lighthouse. I just had a run where my team lost a match that was 4-4 with 8 wins on my passage. The worst part? It came down to a one on one between a self rez and my friend on the capture point. Can there really be anything worse than that?
Edit: I honestly hope I've never played or beat any of you in Trials because all of these stories are so depressing. We all deserve to go to the Lighthouse.

11 RepliesWas 8 wins in winning the final game 4-2 and my son walked in my room to tell me something. He tripped over my lan cable and I got disconnected. Haven't had a team since then so I'm never going to the lighthouse.

Said he would be right back, never came back and we lost the match.......... 8-1 That was my 2nd of 3 weeks straight of going 8-1. Sidenote: same team mate help me get to the lighthouse 2 weeks later so its all good.

4 RepliesYesterday I was helping a couple of people out, and it was their first time playing trials. We got to 7 wins, no losses, and beat a team 5-0. Next game, we get the exact same team again, and two of them are AFK. Eventually, they disconnect, and it's one titan against 2 warlocks and a hunter. Obviously, we steam roll right over him, and he messages one of my teammates "At least your team doesn't give up on you" It was really sad. We offered to help him out in trials again next week, I don't think he's responded to our offer yet.

One win away from flawless get a full team of abusive final rounders that tbaged. I invited they're whole crew to the party and called them all out dickbags

4 RepliesWas playing with my best friends kept trying to get flawless. Tried many times and failed. It was late they got off, I was determined to get it that night! Make a post on this forum and get two guys to join me. (A few guys earlier that day were terrible so I wanted to test these new guys out and see how good they were) well...the two guys were AMAZING lol. We win two, they're 2-0 and I then realize, I'm 2-1, I had my old trials passage card from when me and my friends lost the first round we attempted...I go get a fresh card. The two guys I was with were going for a legit 9-0 without mercys or any buffs. Well on round 8 we lost. If I realized the next morning, if I would have had all the buffs and also got a fresh card before I started with the new guys; I woulda went flawless. I was pretty upset the next day after I realized what a terrible mistake I made. Good news: I went flawless today for the first time and it was so deserved. Been trying for a few weeks now and couldn't get it, just kept practicing and found a good team and what an AWESOME FEELING!!!!!!!!!!! :)

On our 5th win with the boon for 2 wins tied 4-4 goes to one on 3 in capture point with our self rez he takes them all but they finished the capture first :(

Just got 7 wins, got the boon so I needed just 1 more.. Came down to a 1v1 with me and a blade dancer on the capture point. Shotgun and melee to the face but he sends me flying into the sky as i disintegrate into arc... Sad sad day

last week 8 wins in no mercy left last game 4-4 last round sniped 2 last guy kill one of ours 2v1 pushed on the last guy nad hit him fallow up shots took him out turn around to a self res forgot all about it he res his teammate he blade dances chases down our last guy a few second longer he would of had his self res up lost the game lost the flawless. felt like crap more not cuz i dint get the flawless that my friends didnt get it, the let down was real

One time i was on the 9th game, things were going smoothly. The previous 8 wins had come rather easily, but my mercy was gone. Nonetheless i was confident we would win our 9th game. The time had come, we scouted our foes as usual, clad with their thorns, shotties, and snipers, nothing out of the ordinary. A couple moments later, we were suddenly down 4 rounds to 1. The dread had set in, it was clear it was all over, one win from salvation. But wait, we won the next round, and the next, and the next. Suddenly, it was 4 rounds a piece. Our excitement had reached an all time high, as we could feel the other team desperately trying to anything to finish us. Two of us down, two of them down. Boom my teamate revives. But two of theirs revive as well. It was a handicap match. We squared off, no wimp maneuvers, face to face. Shotgun blast here, grenade throw there, when the dust had settled, we had come out victorious, screaming in absolute jubilation. We had completed not only our passage, but one of the greatest comebacks as well. I checked their profiles shortly after. They were on an 8 game winning streak, i assume on their way to the lighthouse as well. I cant imagine the disapointment from them 1 round from the lighthouse, to choke that all away. A great day for us and an unfortunate one for our foes!

2 RepliesYesterday 8-0...still have mercy...up 4-0 on the other team and only one guy left on the other team... Both my team mates super him and then everything starts lagging I get kicked with not one, but two (baboon and weasel) error codes...destiny freezes up...I'm like no way...restart ps4 and rejoin the chat party....guys are that sucks man... Log on my hunter and go to orbit to check my scorecard..... [spoiler]BOOM....I still got my flawless[/spoiler]

1 Replygood for me but bad for my teammates, we were at 8-0 and right as we loaded in everyone in the game lagged out except me, i got the win and went to 9 my team mates got an automatic loss even tho they still had their mercy

1 ReplyLast night was 8-0 with my mercy gone. It would've been my first time going to the lighthouse. Instead, we come across a veteran carrying two other guys. They all had final round snipers and Thorn. Guess you can tell how that went. *cries in corner*

Was about to go 9-0 in trials and about two rounds ago my 2 friends needed to leave around the time we could go 9-0. By the time we needed one more win they both had to leave during the match and I was left in the dust. But we were gonna lose anyways, they were pretty good.

1 ReplyI had one occur today in Trials. Dumb team mates wanted the kills and flanked; they died. So, I was alone and I could see 2 blips on my radar forming a scissor. Picked one off and the other fell back. Then, I hear a golden gun so I play hide and seek long enough to run their super out. See one about to come around a corner and I shotgun him. Another follows and I shotgun him. 1v1 and I just got my super (Self-Rez). At this point my heart is pumping. I get shot by a sniper so I take cover. It allowed them all to get revived. 10 seconds until the flag and I got another enemy down. They stayed in position so I ran to where the flag will be. The circle is filling up and at 84 they kill me. Super to finish the capture. 90 and they gunned me down. Such a heart breaking feeling to do so well only to fail at the end.
