Most heartbreaking Trials stories
I wanna hear your most heartbreaking stories that kept you from getting to the lighthouse. I just had a run where my team lost a match that was 4-4 with 8 wins on my passage. The worst part? It came down to a one on one between a self rez and my friend on the capture point. Can there really be anything worse than that?
Edit: I honestly hope I've never played or beat any of you in Trials because all of these stories are so depressing. We all deserve to go to the Lighthouse.

Was 7-0 with the boon and in the 8th game my teammates and I were up 4-0 and at the time I had never been flawless before and in the 5th round we all get kicked and get a random error code to give us our first loss. I was pretty upset especially cause it was around 2:30 in the morning

I was doing Trials for the first time. We were 8-0 and I had my mercy. We were up 4-1. I lag out. Teammates win match. They go to lighthouse. My card gets a loss and as the boom doesn't work. Sadness.

8-0 still had mercy Played against laggers(natural lag all red barred) We had all green bars, Managed to get up 4-0 All the sudden my buddy gets kicked We still down 2 or them with the last guy on the other side of the map Capture point appears Both of us kicked to home sign in screen Mercy triggered properly!!!!!! Load next round, 3 final round snipers. One with armour piercing rounds(we didn't notice that) Round starts Hear them empty their clips Get shot through wall. Proceed to get final rounded no matter what.

Week one I was playing with my girlfriend and my friend in Trials. Unfortunately my GF wasn't much of a PvP lover so she didn't have many of those Trials coins and couldn't afford the "Excuse 1 loss" buff. We lost a single match in our 9 wins run so obviously it marked by GFs card as a loss and not mine, I got the lighthouse. Ever since she's played every week trying to get there, it's never paid off. Last week the map cycled back to Mercury, the one map we went flawless on. She thought this was her day. We played and fought, eventually we used all our boons and had 8 wins on card. The match went 4-2 to us, it seemed all but done. In the 4-2 match I sniped all three people, she's screaming "YESSSS", I told her to calm the F down as I inspected at the start of the game and they had a sunsinger warlock. Sure enough he revived, I fired a nova bomb as he was reviving his ally. Killed him, the ally survives, he activates bladedancer and screws us all. It's 4-3. It all went to sh!t basically. We lost the game and obviously lost the lighthouse run. Had to put up with one depressed b!tch after that.

2 RepliesLast night, trying to get a mate to 8 wins with a random off these forums. Got to 6 and 2, picked up the boon so the 7th would get us to 8. Random guy goes AFK as the first round starts with no explanation leaving us 2v3 against a decent team. Got rolled.

Almost at flawless (never been to Mercury) we are Winning 3-0 to our last team. Host gets booted. We go up to 4-4, and then I get final rounded and my remaining teammate gets his arc blade shut down when there was only a sunsinger left. The salt was real, and I haven't touched trials since

Helped sucky annoying group to 7-0. My internet hiccuped and i was kicked to orbit, WITH A MERCY and it counted as a loss. I continued to help them go flawless to which point they kicked me. I gently set my controller down and walked away

At 8 - 0 and we thought this was an easy win because it was a 3 - 0 and bungie decides that we shouldnt win and dissconnected both teams. Which ended up with a tie game and it counted as a loss. The thing that got me extremly pissed off was that we had the mercy aswell.

Went 8-0, still had our mercy and lost 2 in a row tonight. Closest I've ever come to the lighthouse. I'll get there someday.

Team was 7-0 last week with my mercy left. My buddy has my account info on his Xbox because I'm out of town on weekends often and I'll get him to jump on and buy items from xur occasionally. Anyways, 7-0 and up 3-0 on these guys and my buddy somehow voice connects to my account through his kinect, proceeding to kick me off of my account but doesn't actually kick him off. I automatically get a loss even though no mercy was used and they end up winning 5-4 that match and we get them flawless the next game :( Been to the lighthouse before but it was still painful to have lost because his kinect misinterpreted something he said and kicked me off... And still getting an L on the card when you have your mercy up. Shit was WEAK.

Only buy the boon that you grant 1 win at start" i left 2 boons behind. We went trials, we lost 1 round. We continue for packages. At the end we went 8-1, if i bought the boon i would have 9-0 :/ i got pissed off but laughed it off with my friends. never went to lighthouse, really want to..... Edit; oh and our last round was vs a lagswitcher. We went 4-0 behind but we grabbed ourselfs together and won 5-4 lol. Last round we all 3 panick self ress

From games 1-9 we won every game 5-4, so many try hards :O

The team we were playing was the team we beat 5-0 the previous game. And we were up 2-0 when he got kicked.

I fell asleep last time I played trials at I think 6 or 7-0 and I wake up at the character screen with a bunch of angry text messages and a loss on the scorecard

As none of my friends no longer play this game. So I am on my like 4th or 5th random team and I had a new card and when they invited me they told me they were at 5 wins and 2 losses. So I say OK and I am thinking here we go again another bust. I am not great at pvp but I do have a 1.3 kd on my warlock so I can hold my own. We start our first match and it puts us with a team of all 34s with the emblem already and all thorns. We lose 5-1. So the guys I am with finished their cards so they went to the tower and got new cards but by this point I was getting fed up with trails so I didn't exchange my card with 1 lose for a new one. Well after getting back in a party we went on to win our next 9 games.....so technically I have gone 9 and 0 but like a dumb ass I didn't trade in my card with one loss on it.
