Thorn actually takes skill
Thorn really does take skill, my KD has been dropping trying to perfect this weapon.
You know what doesn't take skill?
TITAN fist of havoc
And warlock sunsinger.
Trash... If you use these in PVP you are trash. It is just as cheesy if not more than using any other weapon in the game

Everyone knows thorn is easy mode. The aim assist is ridiculous. They just hand those two head shots to you, and you can walk away as they burn to death. I love the gun, but I'm looking forward to its inevitable nerf.

So fist of havoc takes no skill. I agree that using it as a panic super doesn't take skill, but using it effectively? Give me a break. So out-flanking your opponents and using crafty off-the-radar techniques like a nifty crouch or a long jump above them to make them think that you're below them takes no skill? So it doesn't take keen knowledge of the map or a good understanding of how to out-smart your enemies so they don't see you coming? Because if more than one person sees you coming, you're already dead.

Edit: I'd also like to add that you're completely wrong about Thorn taking skill. There's nothing to "perfect". It doesn't have a learning curve like NLB. It's literally just aim and shoot.

No it doesn't all you need to do is land 2 headshots and they die from DoT. So if your kd is [b][u]dropping[/u][/b] while you use thorn then I think that means you are... How do I put this nicely?? Not very skilled.

3 RepliesThorn does take skill, most people won't hit the consistent 2 shot headshot. Most people can't even kill with a consistent 3 shot kill. If thorn was so easy to use most of you could actually carry over a 1.5kd. The best players will consistently 2 shot at all ranges, even close range. Most people online take 5-6 shots to kill. But don't get it twisted, thorn is incredibly OP. As of right now there is no other reason to use any other gun in the game in crucible. It shoots too fast, and too far. They need to kill the fire rate and make it so that people have to hit the 2 shot headshot or it's likely they will be killed.

When I first used Thorn it was in IB, and it was way too easy to use. Stealing kills and assists are common. Also I want to see SUROS come back :v
