Jesus Christ. The idiocy in here lately is out of control. No more than the confirmation bias is, but still, out of control. Nobody is cheating. Those people teleporting around the map are pretty much always going negative. They're just as upset about it as you are. It's regular old lag, bro. Stop crying.

My fireteam ALWAYS has excellent connections. We're quite average in pvp, but it just sucks so much that at least half of the matches we lose is due to the other team cheating/lagging. Good example: yesterday we were at 4-4, they had already used their supers. I rush them with my bladedancer, kill the first two and go at the third (who's all of a sudden red bar) and I hit him at least 5 times and he takes no damage at all. He then shotguns me, revives his teammates and they kill the rest of my team which wasnt hard since that one guy was still unkillable.

The sad thing is that these cheaters get a slap on the hand and a week's ban (aka, break) from Destiny. Anyone can take a week off; vacation, finals, business trip, sickness, etc. They probably just go play COD or something else during that time. One of the players showcased in one of the videos posted here had overall crucible K/D in Control, Skirmish, etc. of .69, .68, 1.00 and then all of a sudden in ToO has an overall K/D of 11.39??? How is that possible?? A miracle suddenly occurred? This player also owns a large amount of ToO armor and weapons, and IF they get banned will just come back to enjoy all of his new loot. Very sad. And very frustrating for the honest players who go up against these jerks.

I am not the best so when I sneak around and get a shot on some try hard all decked out in ToO gear and put 4 shots in him with a hawkmoon and he casually turns and shoots me 1 time and I die it is very frustrating. Since ToO people have really ramped up their cheating. Yeh I am done with Pvp on Destiny but I did have a good weekend of nothing but Battlefield Hardline finally got the .300 Knockout and the new DLC maps are killer

Caught cheaters should be forced to have a piece of armor forever locked on their character called mark of the cheater; it would be a common/ white level 5 armor that does not mix with shaders. That would be good justice

Cheating leaderboard - if zones captured / total games > say 70% it's prob worth looking into. Some folks have 95% zone capture rates. How often does a match even go to zone capture? I would argue it's less than 25% of the time. All of these people yelling about people cheating, yet in all my time playing this game, i have yet to see one person cheating. Yes there is horrible lag from time to time but that is in any fps online. You all need to stop crying so much.

I've seen a lot of lag and a few genuine cheaters in the ToO and IB recently and it really puts me off pvp. I only count myself as an average player but I find myself loosing in trials more often due to lag than skill and that really starts to piss me off and I can't get the rewards I want and my kd steadily declines because of it. 3 ways to loose in PVP right now: [b]1. Skill[/b]. I meet players way more skilled than me or with better weapons and they take my team apart. That's fine, I'll keep practicing and hopefully do better next time. I have no issue every loosing to better players, they are better and so deserve to win and get the rewards. [b]2. Lag[/b]. I occasionally have my net get bad and I suffer from occasional lag as a result. I usually take this as a sign to immediately get off competitive playlists because I HATE lag in a competitive match. However I often get into games where my team is yellow/green bar while the entire other team is Red Bar. they teleport short distances, they take two shotgun blasts and a punch to the face before dying several seconds after along with me dying spontaneously. Sometimes I even see their shots and supers go through walls to kill me like the other day in trials when I saw the shot from a fusion go clean through a giant rock to kill me. However I honestly don't think most of these people are cheating as I often get weird kills against them or see them trap themselves in a corner. I think they just have bad connections and need to get out of PVP as it ruins the game. 3. [b]CHEATING[/b]. Seriously just delete their accounts. These people don't deserve anything in the game and I am honestly for them having it all taken away. They become immortal and wait out the times then super in the zone at the end. they show up as "Immune" when you shoot them. you watch grenades sail clean through them as they walk up to your team despite everyone shooting them then suddenly kill everyone with a super or shotty. For the people shown in the videos linked in this thread. Firstly, check everyone they have been playing with in their recent games, everyone who has benefited. if anyone has been with them more than a couple of games of ToO or IB then you can assume they are the persons real account or friend that they are leeching through wins. They know that the cheating account is gonna get banned, they might even be using a diff IP from their main account so find the people who went 9-0 with them a couple of times and ban them all. Ban their friends from the cheating games too and you will ban their real account which will deter them from trying it again.
