Me and a couple of friends decided we would give trials a go, I would say we are average at best, needless to say we got punished every game, we did five passages and the only win we got was the freebie from the boon lol, so we went back to brother vance for the last time and told him where he could shove his passage coins lol. My point is if I were a teenager or a younger person and I'm not, seeing other people cruising around in really cool trials gear and knowing that my skills or lack of them are never going to get me to the lighthouse, and trials is the ONLY way to get this gear, if someone presented me with an unsavoury way to get this gear I would probably take them up on it.
I have played destiny since day one and I have managed to get access to pretty much everything the game has to offer until now, as a more mature gamer my pvp skills aren't going to improve much, so 9-0 is never gonna happen so I will never get to see this elusive gear. Now I can just laugh off our experience in trials but what annoys me is that I've paid for this content and I'm never going to get to use it. I think this game mode is very divisive especially for a game that is so community based. I think bungie has made a mistake here, they have created an elite game mode for people with a specific set of skills. It wouldn't be so bad if poe had the same loot but unfortunately for whatever reason the loot is terrible, for example I got my first primary with a burn on it from doing Poe 35 the other day, one of the perks was the ability to stun captains, great that's handy, but the burn was solar, now correct me if I'm wrong but captains shields are arc wtf lmfao, don't get me started on the magnificent Titan helm that looks like someone has crashed a plane into the back of your head, and the inventive warlock helm that has 6" nails smashed into it, the list goes on.
Why do bungie continue to divide the community, everything in the game should be accessible to everyone whatever their skill level after all it is just a game.

7 RepliesThink about it this way. Trials is perfect and the community sucks, here's why: Trials was designed in every way to get the WHOLE player base on every weekend for those runs. Sadly our community makes it too hard to join crews and with elitists everywhere only the top 20% of players or so actually got crews. So what about someone in the middle? Trials was designed so that you could face anyone from the best team to the worst team sadly as flawless became a big deal bad teams began to quit. If all of the worse teams still played they could fight each other and struggle for loot in a more even completion. Fair right? I went flawless twice this weekend. Obviously I hold my own in pvp quite well. The thing that concerns me was that we only played 3 bad teams the entire time. It's souls have been way more but they all quit. Keep playing and keep others playing and trials could go back to where it was meant to be.
