It's a lure to grab new players a way to "catch up quickly".
Veteran players don't need it. What good is telling the tale of how hard it was to hit 30 if we are all walking around with our "kinderguardian blankey"?
It's a worthless item that will useless for higher level players anyway.

I could use the xp boost for weapons and to get my light level up.

Light is no longer impacted by xp of armor.

When ttk comes out light level will be 30. Xp boost will help get to 30. Not to mention xp boost will be a big help with a new subclass level up.

Yea that would help, but not needed or a huge advantage for noobs.

It is a pretty good advantage after they made getting to 32 a joke.

People cry they want simple leveling. Bungie provides. People cry leveling up is simple. I happen to like the new way light levels are handled. I disagree with exp2 weapons/armor needed ethric light to reach max levels.
