Non Biased Thorn Poll
It seems that the people who don't want a nerf are the people who rely on it. Many polls on this are very biased and I plan to resolve this.

Just leave it alone. I use it most of the time and I'm not invincible. I've also used other guns and I still beat thorn often. Yes it's a good gun, but the crybabies on this forum rate it higher than it should be.

4 RepliesThorn is the hardest gun to actually earn and you should be rewarded with a beast of a gun after doing it. It's not that hard to beat anyway. People are just crybabies.

Everyone bitched about how the thorn sucked back in the day. Petitions everywhere asking for a buff. It got buffed and actually became a good gun. Wtf is wrong with the community? We got what we wanted. If they nerf it, it will effect PVE. Then everyone will bitch about that. Stop nerfing weapons and buff others. If thorn or TLW gets nerfed, players will just move to the next good gun and use that till people bitch and that gets nerfed. Stop this endless dance.

2 RepliesI am a numbers guy it's my thing (played to many RPGs in my time) and thorn does 132 damage from a head shot with the burn and hawkmoon with one of the lucky bullets does 123 and that is only a 3 in 13 chance and thorn has more than double the aim assist stat of hawkmoon meaning that follow up head shots are just too easy. In my opinion the exotic hand cannons are easily balanced just COMPLETELY remove aim assist on them and that's all as firstly if you have a skilled hand you should be rewarded with a quick kill but this will manually slow the time to kill for 90% of thorn users as you will have to pause and adjust for the follow up shot ( which currently you do not at all due to high aim assist hence why thorn is so deadly)

8 RepliesTo say a Thorn is balanced while almost every one in crucible uses it doesnt make sense. It doesnt need a huge nerf. A 10% damage reduction isnt much and that would probably make it a more balanced weapon. Not everyone would use it and there would be more variety in weapons in the crucible

Thorn is no more overpowered than other hand cannons that 2-3 shot kill. It's just the scapegoat because everyone has one. The only thing it does that other HCs do not, is get post mortems on people with already slightly reduced health. Just make a slight tweak to other weapons crit multipliers and all pvp problems are solved.Git Gud Scrubs.........j/k

Just a few points away from completing the pvp part for my thorn. I've grown accustomed to the green hulk mode screen. I answer them with my newly acquired mythoclast and then we both die. Leave thorn alone there are other guns that can compete you just have to find one that fits your style of play. By the way auto rifles need to go back to their glory so my suros can come out and play

I use the red death. Others also use the Thorn to beat the Thorn. It don't matter. Yes it can be frustrating at some points but gotta suck it up.

The issue is bungie will see this and think hand cannons should be nerfed but that's a lie only thorn and the last word are op hawkmoon and the other hand cannons are perfect where they are but bungie won't realize this and instead of just nerfing the op weapons they will end up making hand cannons just as useless as they were in beta
