This is worse than the heavy ammo glitch that used to be in crucible, so imagine this being a hunter exclusive exploit, it just ain't right...
Edit:
see if they are using it before deciding to file a report
Edit2: reports dont cause a ban. bungie always monitors players before executing a ban. and if they do decide to ban someone for doing this then that's your fault for doing an exploit w knowledge of it's unfair advantage over other players.
Edit3:Reports will serve so that bungie can monitor. specific accounts that could possibly be using this and from there they can see how they should go about the situation. they are the ones that deem something ban- worthy. reporting makes it easy for bungie to find players committing this and allows them to gather information to devise a plan of action.
edit 4: changing the title of the post to should instead of "report players using... exploit in crucible" . there's still a lot of mixed feelings about this exploit. excuse my desire for immediate action to the exploit. let's discuss :)
Another Edit: Getting a lot of responses. Thanks for your input. My current hopes are that this issue is fixed in the upcoming Skolas patch, if not then hopefully Bungie addresses it in an update. If neither happen, let's all throw swarm grenades :P
* i will comment on comments, "This post is key" for any comments that i believe bring up very valid points that we should all consider. Thanks for the input

1 ReplyIt's a bug, it will be fixed, get over it.
-
I think void walkers can do this as well
-
Nope, it just needs to be fixed. Until then, throw your own grenade at it and run your own stacked ATA perks.

1 ReplyAs someone who has three Hunters and hasn't personally used this glitch here is my take on it..... You can report Deez.
-
No. Let me go flawless first

3 RepliesEdited by Etheric Peace: 6/14/2015 1:02:07 PMOk. Here's the deal, people are trying trials of Osiris right now...And failing. Guess what to? Some of my friends haven't even gone flawless yet because they ran into triple Hunter teams running the glitch. And my friends (like me) are in the top 10% of Crucible players on Xbox One. Then you have the casuals and the randoms who fight it, yet constantly lose because of it. The people who use it in a 3v3 game type need to be banned. A temp ban for crucible until fixed. Because it's not fair losing hard earned rewards to cheaters.
-
No... Just no. I'm tired of explaining this but just let it alone. It'll be fixed and all the bitching in the world won't make that next patch come any sooner. And on top of that, you'd have to be a retarded jizz monkey running around like you're head got cut off to actually get hit by all of those swarm grenades so please just stfu about it.

What's the glitch?

3 RepliesNo, not imo. I used to do programming ages ago with C, C++, Pascal, and Visual Basic. If I wrote code, I then do qa/qc on it. If I deemed it functional, I pass it along and at some point it get to client end user. If that tries a functionality and sees a problem, I apologize profusely, fist the code, and chastise myself for failing to do good qa/qc. I don't yell at the client for finding the error. Are players wrong for exploiting a programming error? Yes. But if I was the individual or team that coded this piece of armor, did graphical design, coded the perk to game interface, at some point in time I imaginever I'd put it on a test platform on all systems, equip the armor, put a test dummy in pve and pvp, and toss all 3 hunter grenades at it. I don't see how this was missed unless and update or patch changed core game code which in turn causes an perk to game interface error. The easy fix, albeit bad fix due to balancing, is simply change the discription in the armor to state super is recharged on damage rather than kill. But this is my point. In your fervor to crucify those taking advantage of a programming error... HOW ABOUT DIRECTING SOME OF THAT ANGER TO THE COMPANY WHO FAILED TO DO GOOD QA/QC ON THIER CODE!! What do you think? Maybe?

1 ReplyWhy is this even an argument? A. Not a glitch B. Not an interruption to other players gameplay. C. What are you, twelve? D. I'm going to start doing this and using thorn to piss you kids off even more. E. Because. F. Probably your most common grade.
-
15 RepliesOh my god...... you people..... How is this an exploit when the perk has been added to the game by Bungie? Someone figured out a good combination utilizing build and gear, the community goes nuts about exploits.
-
6 RepliesBungie BANNED for switching characters in trials. They surely could ban for abusing this glitch.

Guy said I was doing it. You can read my post titled Golden Gun Glitch? But, here is what happened. Swarm grenade is probably one of my most favorited grenades to use in pvp. I love watching people run away from the grenade. It is so funny when they try to escape the swarm. So I was running ahamkaras spine and cover of the exile and this guy reported me for cheating and he said I was doing the inf golden gun glitch and I had no idea what he was talking about. He explained it to me and I told him to inspect me. He noticed my Ahamkaras are not max and my helm did not have ashes to asset. I asked him if he thought I was cheating again. He never replied to my msg. But yes do report anybody doing this. It is gamebreaking and needs to ban people doing this. I never do this so dont report me.

Yes but PvE I could care less

I'll tell you what abusing a glitch is when it comes to supers Warlock void walker Titan striker If both are killed while their activating their super, upon revive they instantly still have their super. Now a Hunter of either sub class is killed while activating their super, they lose it , its gone they have to build up their energy again. That is a really an unfair advantage
-
11 RepliesYou can't be banned because bungie left this perk unaware of it being broken and you can only be banned if you use outside sources to change the game ex lag switch etc
-
Ive come across hunters using this alot. Really hasnt affected the outcome of the match. Just avoid the nades ,its not hard. Sometimes they throw it right on u but 99% of the time its a blind throw and fingers crossed u walki into it. They deff will fix it but banable, nope.
-
Simple don't get hit by their grenade

2 RepliesEdited by Gillbates55 : 6/14/2015 8:21:20 PMThey fact this has been around since day 1 and you fuckheads start crying now is pathetic. If you loose in trials because of it you are even worse. How the -blam!- did you let them get it up with only 3v3 is the stupid part.
-
Bungie will warn before they ban people. Once Bungie warns a ban could be coming, I suspect the prevalence of this will lessen.
-
Another thing about weapons of light the community needs to take into consideration, even if Bungie was to remove final round from weapons. what is worse a one bullet that can instantly kill you or a sniper with 3-6 bullets that have weapons of light making all of them a one hit kill. not saying nerf the titan ability but there are ways around everything. I mean thorn with a sunsinger that is set up to burn others is pretty well worked out same thing with a gunslinger if you run it correctly, combining youre abilities with a weapon is a harder hit than just using an "Op" weapon. make what you use youre own not every one can handle the same style there are alot of sloppy snipers about like wise those that like to go all out and melee. Nerf nothing just adapt to the situation put you're feet in you're character's shoes and become in tune with it like you would if you was in a actual crucible fight you would die. yeah it sounds corny but think about the more you focus on one class an strategies you can pull with it the better you will be at shutting down another that is ment to match up with you or out match you, hoping that person is not cheating in any way shape or form. Cheaters exist on here dammit but thats not the point. use youre weapon of choice and youre character's abilities to it.
-
Yes. Any glitch or exploit resulting in a advantageous situation in a competitive environment is frowned upon. Just take a video and report.
-
1 ReplyI'm doing that. If bungie decides it's ban worthy they know who to hit first. If they don't think that then no one gets banned. Contrary to popular belief many systems out there that have a "report" feature do not auto ban people after a certain amount of reports have been filed. There have been instances where people get a temp freeze on their stats while things are under investigation. But people don't get auto banned. And the occurence of an unjust ban is very rare. I think Bungie may have accidentally banned less then 12 people when reach was around. And they werent even account bans. just time outs because the ban hammer mistook someone's terrible connection for AFking.
