I pretty much can't get wins in Iron Banner. I also pretty much absolutely suck at PvP because it's not why I play the damn game but many of the best rewards are PvP specific. I've had 5 iron coins for 7 on games (yes, that means I've lost 12 games in a row) and the only rep I've gotten is from bounties. Basically, I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem and, if so, do you think we should get more than 5 iron coins in the rare event that use PvP handicapped types actually get a win.

1 ReplyHey, You'll just have to grind it out... I've been playing the Iron Banner solo, and I'm already rank 4 on my hunter. I really just wanted the cloak at rank 4. I'm no PVP God by any means, but it just comes down to putting in a little time. I'll stick with a team that I've been matched with for two rounds... If I lose both rounds, I'll leave the lobby and find another. If I win, I'll stick it out until I lose two in a row. You'll win, you'll lose some... That's just way it is.

Edited by Hannah: 6/4/2015 7:55:16 PMI feel the same way, TheSonOfGrey. This Iron Banner just doesn't seem the same as last. I don't remember having such a hard time getting wins last events. I think we should be able to turn in the medals if we get the max of 5, especially if we can't get a win soon after. I'm going for the new cape too. But all I can say as well is keep playing & turn in the bounties. Also choosing to buy boon on the weekend will give a rep boost.

My first experience of IB during the last session was not promising as I lost 5 out of 5. This time around my losses and wins are pretty even and my own KD was positive in 4 out of 5 matches last night. I don't have a team supporting me so I just go in on my own. I think tactically I am more assured this time around. I follow team mates, find good spots, move in small circles, am more radar aware and basically I take fewer risks. Of course it is a team game and no matter what you do there's no guarantee your team will win but there's a lot to say for just improving your own performance. Hang in there!

You're K/D isn't negative, so you could be much, much worst. Maybe not good, but still. I'd suggest playing in a group/with friends if you can, otherwise make sure to actually cap things, and try switching up weapons occasionally if something isn't working out for you. 12 losses in a row really isn't good, even for playing with randoms. Something definitely needs to be switched up, you might just be having bad luck with teams though.

Im good at pvp but i don't go into iron banner alone. Regular pvp i don't care, but when wins are at stake i at least go on lfg to find dudes. Even if none of your team of 6 is all that great, your team work will net you wins over groups of randoms.

1 ReplyYeah. I haven't won a match yet. Went to rank five the last two Iron Banners with relatively few issues. It's bizarre and it blows. And yes ... I'm even more annoyed by the fact that this seems to be the only way I can get etheric light. Now I guess I just have to wait for a nightfall drop ... Unless I want to wear the craptastic Radiant Dance Machines in PoE level 34. My friends and I don't have hours to spend trying to get through it at level 33.
