It's hard to break habits from real life. If I hear someone say something that I know is blatantly wrong, I'll correct them. I'm not saying I would do this to strangers that I just happened to overhear, but with people I'm talking to. The way I've always looked at it is that it may prevent them from sounding/looking stupid in the future.
