Spirit Bloom Chest DOES NOT ruin exotic chance.
If anyone cares, I ran HM Vault last night and our group opened the spirit bloom chest. I ended up getting Gjallahorn in the next chest. So for me, this debunks the myth that opening that chest ruins the chance of an exotic in the next chest. No I don't have pics or video, because I don't care that much, but just thought I'd share so I don't have to worry about my fellow guardians being deprived of Spirit Bloom.

I don't believe that opening the bloom chest affects the other chests. The chests loot is governed by RNG. RNGs can only be comprehended by applying the same values to the variables and then scalating and documenting the results, which is impossible to accomplish without certain control of the sandbox. Because of this, all those saying that opening the chest affects the loot or reduces the chances of getting good loot from the other chests don't have any signs of intelligence or common sense.

He waited for them all to jump down the hole and then started baiting them: "I'm gonna open it.... I'm gonna [i]open it[/i]!" They all start losing their minds. He realises he has a Crux and an Eidolon Ally in his inventory that he had forgotten about so he applies it... everyone's screen reads "(His Tag) found Nechrochasm." The whole room goes quiet. He waits a beat and says "So... how long you guys been skipping that chest?" Gold.

2 RepliesThe chance is ruined in advance. It doesn't matter whether you open or not the bloom chest. The drop rate on gorgon's chest is awful. I think the loot is better on level 26 than in 30.

Nope. Opened it and someone got hawk ion and some one else got Monte Carlo and another guy got patience and time

Actually it sets a two minute timer for the secret chest from blocking the Templar from teleporting!

I picked up the spirt bloom chest once and was the only one in my fireteam that got an exotic from the exotic chest(red death). Just a Myth.

You can't really prove whether or not it ruins your chances, but if it does or not I still don't pick up the spirit bloom chest, don't need it. Then again, why would they put a spirit bloom chest in the Vault? Does sound like a trap.

opening the chest is bad, one vault run my team did open the chest and we all immediately died and got kicked back to orbit with no check point. also, my dog died of mysterious unexplainable circumstances upon opening the chest. dont open, you've been warned.

I love it when people rage over the spirt bloom chest. They should know the best way to increase your chances is to 360 no scope before opening the exotic chest. Git gud scrubs.
