Handcannons Breaking PvP
Thank you Xur for selling LAST WORD yet again to just drive home my point how much hand cannon spam is breaking the pvp experience of this game. And thank you Bungie for screwing weapon balance.
* Edit conclusion: So many salty TLW, Thorn & Hawkmoon scrubs complaining about my complaint. The assumption is that I am a child that is whining an see crying on forums and need to stop calling for nerfs. The fact is the kill feed I saturated with these exotics (note I have no complaints with legendary hand cannons). TLW massive fire rate massive damage (111) massive range yet its proponents declare it "takes skill". Thorn just saw a buff in 1.1.2 now with your screen showing even more green poision effects. And we all know how devastating Hawkmoon is. I speak the truth and the fact is these 3 weapons destroy every other weapon class and cannot be defeated by any auto or scout rifle and arguably trump any pulse. Please continue to speak on the forums of you want a game to play the way it should BALANCED GAMEPLAY NOT COD GAMEPLAY.

4 RepliesTake a look at most of the top 100 players in destiny, i bet most use hand cannons which tells you all you need to know. Don't listen to the haters, TLW and thorn are too strong and they will be nerfed, they took away autos rifles because the suros was king. It's only a matter of time before somethign is done, then tryhards won't have such an advantageand it will be fun to watch them burn.

It's a vicious cycle. When a King gets de-throned another takes his place. Everyone wants the best weapon now its hand cannons next might be scout rifles and it will be screwing up pvp. The only sure way to make it even is force everyone to use the same primary, special,and heavy. Then the arguments will be over class warfare.

Hand cannons have been op since release. Where the -blam!- have you been? They have never been nerfed.

Edited by turbtators: 4/24/2015 12:26:30 AMI'm not sure if some of the people who play crucible know that you can use things like a pulse or auto rifle in the crucible. I played some rumble matches the other day and I was the only person not using a handcannon.

It's just a week or two as with any gun Xur sells people will spam for a week or so, if you want to know what really is broken is the non legendary weapons with unbalanced stats causing almost game breaking damage in crucible, hand cannon aren't over powered as they can be demolished be well timed pulse rifle shots, or a shot gun, hand cannons are one of the most balanced things in the game because the range and stability causes many problems for them, so really think about the weapons handling before calling it overpowered, anything is overpowered in the right hands.

I agree. The people hating on you are the ones who abuse the gun and stand to lose the most when (not if) it gets nerfed. They don't really understand game balance all that well. They remind me of the people from the Halo: Reach forum who would scream "adapt" at others who complained (legitimately) that Armor Lock was a broken ability (because it was). Because we should "adapt" to broken game mechanics. If they're telling you to "get gud" and "adapt", then they obviously shouldn't have any problem adapting to a nerf. I wonder why they're so hostile at the sight of threads like these then...
