The people who just run through the strikes really suck. They ruin the fun of the strikes by just ditching the other guardians because they think their time is just too valuable to waste killing all the enemies. The strikes are not long to complete fully people just need to stop being impatient babies. I have the same feelings for "cheesing" raid parts but that's another story. Anyway thanks guys for reading.
Edit: It seems to me the common concerns with my post is that strikes take too long or that they've been completed a million times so they're boring now. With that in mind the strikes are not long and are actually pretty quick to beat taking only 10-15 minutes. If you look at any other fps the average game is around 10 min and if you feel as if you over play the strikes stop playing the strikes find something that entertains more and doesn't hinder anyone else's play.
Edit2: you guys are missing my point I'm not saying kill every last enemy in the strike. Only skip the enemies that are always a certain level not roc, tiger, etc... Specific. Say the very beginning enemies on the nexus strike I think they're lvl 14 no matter so they're literally not worth your time to kill. Wait until there's the 26 enemies.

4 RepliesNigggaaaaaaaaaaa..... shut the -blam!- up -_- you play the same strikes day in day out dafuq I look like fighting every enemy that I don't even have to kill. If I can sprint to the boss without killing shit that's what I'mma do. I'll kill what I need to but the than that the strike and the random I'm with can suck my diznick

1 ReplyI can understand if it's your first, second, third... ... Hundredth time playing the strike, but come on on the 101th time you gotta be bored of it
-
Do you really kill everything in a strike? Even Archon Priest, Summoning Pits, and Cerberus Vae? The reason I ask is that these strike bosses throw mobs at you indefinitely. It may just be coincidence, but these are three easiest strikes to sprint through.
-
I only run through valus that strike is annoying
-
I Way prefer to kill my way to the boss take whatever you need to get the extra glimmer and kill
-
1 ReplyWhen the -blam!- Valus strike repeats itself 3 times you will learn why not to waste time
-
2 Repliessome times people do not have a lot of time in there day or sometimes you have 2 and u wish had split screen like halo bungie a other GPS had split screen that's my excuse I suck :)

5 RepliesI run through strikes too and even go so far as to die at a far checkpoint so my team also teleports to me. EZ PZ strikes. Lol at how OP's post completely backfired on him. That moment when almost no one agrees with you.
-
Why complete a strike in 10-15minutes when you run to the boss and get it done in 5? You still get the same rewards and everything. And also most strikes are boring.
-
What's the incentive to fight the enemies that are at strike level? Do they have a better chance of dropping engrams? Not from what I can tell. Do they award you with a significantly higher amount of experience? Not really, you make more doing bounties than literally anything else. Does killing the leveled enemies increase the quality of the rewards gained at the end of a strike? Again, no. Until that changes, most won't see the point in playing that way, why work harder with no increase in rewards? I understand your frustrations, I've felt them myself, but from a practical standpoint, their way is the most efficient to get the rewards they seek.

I sprint through, and if you choose not to keep up that's your fault.
-
I tend to agree. But if you are "left behind" then you are accused of AFK! LOL!!
-
I agree
-
Most people do it probably because of a bounty.

Edited by dendrox: 4/7/2015 3:10:55 AMI just go with the flow and do whatever the other people in my group do. Sure you can get engrams and ammo by killing everything, but overall it's a waste of time. I'd much rather be done quicker and just get the good loot at the end then do more strikes instead of doing less in a given amount of time
-
I think that the reason people speed run is so they can get more loot. In the time it takes to kill every enemy in one strike, you could have completed that one and be half way through another, maybe even completed another one, but I like this attitude
-
Edited by Tedward83: 4/7/2015 2:16:32 AMI don't mind blowing past the trash mobs. But once I get to lvl 26 guys or whatever I like to go take them down. Like others have said, good chance for heavy ammo, maybe even a couple good engrams. I usually play it by ear. If two people take off running. I'm going to run with them. These things are exponentially easier when you stay together.

4 RepliesCheesing nexus on nightfall is sooooooo easy just stay at the top and kill the Minotaur to get more ammo and snipe him all day
-
Haha g8 b8 m8! Who really enjoys the strikes?
-
Hey! I also want to maximize cost and minimize profit like every human never!
-
I see your point but I go through because I have a time limit
-
Nerf the sprinting. #getfat

Your breath stinks of breast milk.

You know what bugs me? Fighting the boss alone because some dummy wants to kill EVERYTHING and sit in the back making their team do the hard work for them. You can always leave the match and try your matchmaking luck again. Id rather beat the match and move on... these things lose their special touch after the 150th play through... well maybe after the 15th play through but you get my point.

I see what you're saying. Skip the enemies till you get to instance where your respawn is restricted. I agree. I don't like skipping enemies cause sometimes something good drops. I haven't been playing long but I have received 2 purple items from the mobs in an instance.
