Why is VoG gear still level 30?
I don't see any reason not to upgrade them (new ones that are received as rewards, not preexisting copies). I get that you want to encourage people to play the new raid, but a lot of us still feel that the Vault of Glass is (much) more enjoyable than Crota's End. And I personally like the Vault gear's appearance(s) more than its replacement set(s). I see no benefit to leaving it sub-par.
Edit: while I'm at it...
>remove shards/energy from potential Raid Bawss rewards (or tack them on to the side of the [i]real[/i] rewards), along with not-actually-useful stuff like the ship, emblem, shader, sparrow...etc. If you find that doing this doesn't leave enough individual rewards, then you should've made more and better ones to begin with.

1 ReplyI think they should allow you to trade in the raid gear of the highest level (36) for vog gear. So the only way u can make old raid gear equal to the newest is to swap them. Sry if this is not making any sense. Example... If u want ur VOG helmet to be a light level 36, then u must give up a raid helmet from CE n so on. This way people still have to do the new raids. Have someone at the tower who exchanges the gear. I think this would help out to all the people who hate looking the same. Just like Eris morn with the energy n shard. What does everyone think?

1 ReplyThis is what I think, add a level 32 difficulty to VoG (not 33 like CE hard mode cause bungie knows that was stupid) and in this mode only can you get level 32 weapons and gear, it would make running that raid still relevant to higher level players, cause now I have no reason to run it since I only need thorn and necro for exotics, except ps4 exclusives, and I have all the raid weapons

But O.P. don't you like having 18 currencies, 16 of which effect any one character? 2x Vanguard, 2x Crucible, Glimmer, Weapon Parts, Exotic Shards, 4x Planetary Junk, 3x Specialty Armor bitz, 2x Radiant Materials, 2x Ascendent Materials. Side note: I didn't include consumables that have have a direct glimmer conversions and little value elsewhere. (i.e. Black Wax Idol) I'd be thrilled if Bungie got rid of excess baggage. They ended material farming as an activity so why not go that extra step and remove them entirely? Collapse Radiant/Ascendent into one? Those solutions alone would make this game 33% less bloated and bureaucratic.

37 RepliesThe people in here who dont play mmos dont understand how raids work obviously, its a good thing this game isnt a true mmo, otherwise half of the community wouldnt va able to complete raids, imagine no health regeneration at all, imagine having to have a healer class in the group whos soul purpose is healing the party, and the tanks soul job is to get attacked by everything. Imagine the enemies relentlessly charging at you once aggroed until they are killed and every single one of them is a major or ultra. You guys would never make it in an mmo, be glad this game is as easy as it is. You didnt get to upgrade your gear in birderlands did you? No, you got new weapons and deleted the old ones. Ill give it tp you that this game needs vatiety, but the answer is not being skimpy and just upgrading old gear, the answer is to give us multiple raids per level and having multiple sets of gear within each raid.

2 RepliesI don't know why they didn't give us a LVL 32 mode for VOG. Seems like it would be an easy thing to do. It would be near if we could mix and match raid gear. I love the VOG hunter helmet and wish it could LVL higher.

1 ReplyThe only activity that requires lvl 32 gear is Hard Crota, so if you like your lvl 30 VoG gear, then just wear it. Technically you could do nightfall with full VoG gear with no disadvantage. The only time I wear Crota gear is. . . when I'm doing Crota. If your wearing raid gear to do bounties and strikes, it's like putting on your tux to go to the movies.

No one would attempt to learn CE if everyone knows that they can just do what they already know and get the same light level gear by doing the VoG. It is completely understandable as to why the VoG gear doesn't bring you up to 32, and I feel it should stay that way. Or to combat the lack of content, Bungie can introduce new mechanics and features into a level 33 VoG raid, and you can get level 32 gear from it. Same goes for 331 attack weapons. As for the rewards it should stay the same as well. If the game took into consideration what you already have/had then people would be done with the raid in just over a few weeks. Killing most incentives to do them, and we'll have a lot more complaining about a lack of content. I agree with the sparrow and everything else under it (as of 3/12).

After the PVE shotgun buff the 1.0 300max damage Crash Auto Shotty I have may only be max 300 damage, but it's beast in PVE. Use it in Void burn scenarios like fat kids on twix. ;o) And hell yes I'd upgrade that bad boy.

Because your idea of wanting to be able to finish the game once, and then lord it over all future content, is a stupid one. If you want to stay the best, you have to keep being the best. You can't just have been the best once, and then stop trying.

5 RepliesI would agree with VoG staying a tier 1/level 30 raid if it weren't for the the fact this isn't an MMO nor a traditional leveling system in an RPG. They wanted to be "innovative" with their leveling system yet didn't went with the traditional depreciation approach. Bungie doesn't know how to RPG very well.

Well, look away from the name and perks, everything from crota is just existing gear with ugly slapped on it, abyss defiant would be vanquisher, fang would be mida, etc, you expect bungie to remake old gear, when they don't even make new gear?

15 RepliesAnd no the game should not lower your odds of aquiring a particular weapon once aquired, then everybody has everything, in a game where people want so desperately to be unique, why does everybidy want to get every weapon, you want to look different from everybody else, but you want to functionally be the same as everybody else, where all weapons are perfectly balanced abd nothing is exceptional above others, and everybody has a Gjallarhorn. Its actually very hypocritical.

12 RepliesBecause games have things called levels, and you level up as you go. Out of all the requests in this game that annoy the hell out of me this is number one. I dont want to hear yoir reasons, its an old level, old levels dont give out next level gear. Period, end of story.
