Every time I get a random group together the same question always comes up at the bridge section "Are we cheesing this bit?"
Why!!!!!???? Not only is it just as quick to do it legitimately it's way more fun!! Being 4-2 in favour of cheese me and my buddy managed to convince them to try it at least once, they agreed and put the most pathetic attempt in to simply skip to the cheese.
When I questioned said attempt I then realised that most of them didn't know what to do, these were player's with all crota raid gear and guns and they didn't know how to complete the most fun section of the raid, imo.
The flood of excuses start coming from the team and the best one I heard was "What's the point of all that EFFORT just to get shards?"
Well if that's your attitude there's no point in playing Destiny, you can get just shards from Crota himself after all and as for 'effort' it's a game, it's supposed to be FUN.
As I don't actually need anything from Crota I was just raiding for fun, wiping on command and watching a pillock shooting his sniper rifle for age's is not what I had in mind so I left.
So please stop forcing cheese because it's not fair on everyone else, would you enter any over game or activity if the only way you knew how to win was through cheating?
Anybody else having this problem??
Edit: Most people are saying because it saves time due to people wiping, if everyone knew how to do it legitimately there wouldn't be as many wipes, no?
Edit: Judging from the general response most people are past the point of taking satisfaction from legit completion and are just looking to save time, I can't really argue with that but I still think doing it legit should take priority as a lot of player's haven't even had the opportunity to attempt it 'properly' from fear of being kicked or ridicule which is a shame.
Edit: If soloing or in a under manned team then you gotta be able to get across some how so I totally understand it if that's the case.
Last Edit: If I had of posted this a couple of months ago saying "aww don't be elitist I'm just going to cheese everything is this shitty, broken raid " this forum would've exploded at me but now everyone is like oh it's ok to cheese now because I do it, this community is laughable sometimes.
It really wasn't that long ago people were being 'crucified' for cheesing and now it seems most of you love it? Wtf!?

The problem is bungie made 32 gear way to easy to get and tower gear should not get you to 31. So basically all these noobs get carried and level up quick and no one doe anything legit so good luck finding those people who can. My raid team learned all the legit methods day 1 of CE when we went in completely blind and figured it out for ourselves. Now everyone just does whatever these losers on YouTube do.
-
There is no point to doing it legit. The only way to eliminate the enemy is to exploit it's weaknesses.
-
1 ReplyI've never did the bridge legit. I'm not opposed to it, it's just that all the groups I've raided with want to cheese.
-
1 Replycause its fast and this raid sucks and you suck
-
-
Well, because it's boring, I mean, the bridge... But I thought it was not possible anymore lol I haven't really been playing nayways so I can't tell
-
I like doing it legit but I'm joining groups of 5 other people.
-
Bridge legit on normal is fun. On hard it sucks.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Chronomaly: 3/2/2015 9:44:42 PMI stopped reading after you calling anything in this game fun. I need to be stoned to play this piece of shit. If you can get loot faster and easier, then why the hell not?
-
I always ask my team to do it legit. Never happens though.
-
Okay. Im guilty. I always cheese the bridge with my group.. And once we play legit in the bridge... i always got confused on what to do next... lol. Reason why cheese? We just wanted to do it quick, and usually after that, we will play VoG Hard...which last longer than CE Hard... especially on Tuesday, the order will always be, NF, weekly, CE Hard/Normal, then VoG. Try squeeze that into 4 hours.. ^.^ But playing legit its not a problem for me. I always think of it...aahh... more kills for me... yes!

Edited by NilSatisSteel: 3/2/2015 9:58:20 PMI've done it Legit one time early when the raid first came out. It's been so long I can't honestly remember myself! But At least I have done the whole raid the legit way so in my eyes it's fine for me to cheese
-
Legit stay legit. What's cheese?
-
1 ReplyWhen I've run the bridge solo I use more cheese then sargento.

I used to be against it. However, it is part of the game dynamics so really its not wrong to do. Also, VoG was way more fun and seemed to give armor a bit more often. Crota has given me three pairs of boots. Why cheese? I've beat it and now I'm just trying to get the rest of the armor I should have by now. If the people you're playing with want to cheese, leave or deal with it. Simple as that.
-
Mainly because I do until Ir Yût solo, or with 2 friends
-
I have only done Crota once and the group I joined cheesed the bridge. I made a post the other day on LFG stating I was looking for a fresh run with no cheese and guess what? No one got back to me. People love the cheese it seems.
-
It's fun to do legit on normal...on hardmode however, after seeing all the stupid stuff that could happen when you get to Crota, better save up your energy and patience for that instead.

Why is people still arguing about this? Is like if there was a movie and some people forward it to watch their favorite part, and someone complains and says, "why did you forward it? I want to watch the whole movie". Let people choose! I don't care what others do. If they want to cheese...so be it. If they don't want to cheese...so be it. I like both and honestly don't give a shit about both. You do want you want to do. If you don't like it, find a non cheese group bro...it's that simple. Stop complaining! It's same thing as arguing with someone that buys cut fruit from the super market and telling them they're lazy because they don't buy the fruit as a whole and cut it at home....get the picture. Non of the choices are wrong. People like simple things in life. Others like more of a challenge. Both are fine. As long as it's no real life delinquency, it fine!
-
Easier to 2 man it then to get a group that doesn't know what they are doing.
-
2 RepliesCheese goes better with crackers! :P
-
It's quicker and easier to do with a semi decent group. I would like to do it legit but it would require a good group.

9 Replies@Bravo, how about worrying about how YOU play the game and not everyone else. If you don't want to use an exploit in the game, and see yourself as a SUPER ELITIST SNOB, then so be it. Tell EVERYONE in your Raid Team before starting that you don't use exploits. That's YOUR perogative and RIGHT. However, it is the RIGHT of everyone else to do opposite of you. Furthermore, GAMING, especially Console Gaming's history is all about using exploits, cheats, tricks, codes, etc. in gaming. People like yourself think they know better, and this was the attitude of developers in the past as well, until they understood just how WRONG they were. They eventually embraced tricks, glitches, exploits, etc. because it added layers to the game that it never would have had, if not for those types of things. No one HAS to use those, but if you want to, they were always there to use, from the 100 man code in Mario, to Warthog Bumping in Halo, to the 30 man code in Contra, and so on. I however disagree with using anything "cheesed" from PVE in PVP, and I believe those items (armor/weapons) should be disabled in PVP by Bungie. As for PVE, Bungie should get over themselves and LEARN from gaming's history that players LOVE exploits and it is the sincerest form of flattery that gamers take the time to "push" a game beyond the developers vision/ability after the credits roll. Again, not everyone HAS to do it, and those items gleaned in PVE through such means should be disabled against another person. As for using said items against the AI, I'm sure the AI will cry themselves to sleep, right before they CHEAT you and use BUILT-IN cheats against the player.

I'm lazy.

3 RepliesI just cheesed it twice last night with my Titan.
you mad bro??
