PvP is a lot of fun, when lag isn't screwing it up. I enjoy studying the maps and playing with different weapon loadouts and tactics in order to experiment with what works and what just gets me horrifically killed. There actually is a great deal of variety and different viable loadouts to attain success with. There is also a fascinating social dynamic between playing with a team and running solo. It becomes interesting since when you are playing alongside friends a lot of game behavior gravitates around helping and assisting and safeguarding each other. But when playing solo generally the lone wolf approach causes me to often use my random teammates as bait or distractions while I play far more opportunistically in order to pad my stats. I find the various interactions with friend and foe alike in PvP to be far more entertaining than the stale laundry list of errands to run when completing Vanguard bounties and doing PvE. My frustration with trying to do the raids just generally stems from a very long streak of getting with awful random teams, or having my regular crew not be up to the task of operating as a cohesive enough squad to complete them. I'm stuck in this no man's land of not being good enough to consider myself a Crucible god, but lacking the patience and team support to get into the raids, which is generally considered the apex of PvE. So then I just boot up Diablo and slaughter a few million demons with laser hands. :P
