Yesterday I had a dream and it was mainly about a girl that I didn't know. She showed up at my door and it was snowing outside. She had shortish dark hair under her toboggan and she seemed happy to see me but a little upset about something at first. Whatever she was upset about for like two seconds it didn't matter and she smiled at me and had me follow and chase after her. Through my neighborhood I ran behind and climbed fences to keep up. I was not sure of where she was taking me but something about her made me not care. She eventually stopped in one of my neighbors yards and she turned around to look at me and just as she did I woke up. The dream seemed incredibly real. The reason I think that I am going crazy is because I can't stop thinking about her and I think I may be in love with her, which is weird but in a way that I don't care. She was adventurous and it was like we had grown up together or something. Is there something wrong with me (either way I love this/it/HER) or is my brain trying to tell me something?
Edit: Even crazier, I went to work yesterday and one of my friends confronted me about having a girlfriend and I was clueless to what he was talking about. Just realized this.
New perspective: earlier I asked if because she is in my head does that make her not real? I'm in my head. The way I look at it is that you can be anyone that you want to be if you want to be. This allows for you to create personalities for yourself. Who is to say that this girl who has a personality inside of my head is not another person? She has a unique set of traits that aren't mine. On top of this based on what I know about how the brain works she is a set of synapses in the part of my brain associated with memory (hippocampus). My personality is located in my prefrontal cortex. What if these synapses locations were switched? Would I be her or her be me?
Just in case: she's not who my song is about.

4 RepliesI just thought about something. Is she real. Just because she is in my head doesn't make her less of a person. I'm in my head. What if she was the personality and I was in her dream.
