It seems like people can't grasp the concept of drop chance (or sell chance in this case).
Items like gjallarhorn could have a 1% sell chance, meanwhile voidfang vestments or sunbreakers have a much higher chance (let's say 30%).
It blows my mind that people actually think that bungie would decidedly sell voidfang vestments 5 weeks in a row.
Show me proof that's he's not RNG, and I'll change my mind. Until then, you can't tell me shit.
Edit 1: Still no proof of xurs goods being selected by bungie employees, or anyone else for that matter.
Edit 2: IF anyone can find me proof that xur is not RNG, I will dismantle every exotic and legendary i own, then delete my players and sell destiny. I would wait, but I would be old and grey before anyone found anything.
Edit 3: People continue to say it is next to impossible for RNG to choose an item 5 weeks in a row. It already EXTREMELY apparent that different exotics have different chances to drop. It's just like every other RNG system in any other mmo. It's basically a rare > legendary > exotic system INSIDE of each class (rare) (legendary) (exotic)
QUIT USING THAT ARGUMENT.
EDIT 4:
It's been confirmed by Deej himself that xur is RNG. Thanks for trying idiots.

All weapons are a 8.16 chance BTW sometimes we're all unlucky
-
I think it is sometimes random but they change it sometimes like with red death
-
2 RepliesDeej said *wait until may 9th*(I believe it was the ninth) and Xur sold thunderlord. Xur has never sold thunderlord, so that proves Deej had past knowledge
-
It is random. It's also predetermined. It doesnt generate a number every week. It generated all its numbers already. Then when an expansion comes out it'll do it again. That's why MegamanExe could predict it every week. That said, just because it's RNG doesn't mean that bungie can't change it. They certainly could. It's not some sci-fi movie where the program has gone rogue and no one can control it anymore.
if it was we would have NLB in all slots because it would hate us for talking so much shit
1 ReplyWhat I don't get is that people think DeeJ lies about Xur being random. Why would he want to lie?
-
I believe gally has less than 1 percent
-
Well, there seems to be/have been some form of algorithm or such since Megaman was able to predict Xur's exact wares for several weeks running. Bungie also can apparently change Xur's wares at will.
-
1 ReplyEven if Deej confirms Xur is RNG, it doesn't mean they never have or never will alter it for any given time.
-
4 RepliesLol who revived the Necro post, which by now we know Xur isn't RNG anyway
-
Doesn't matter, he's a handout.
-
Who cares
-
I believe it's RNG but the RNG is heavily weighted.
-
I thought there was 2 xur. One that is rng and one that they can change if the don't like the rng xur. Isn't that what bungie said?
-
You'd need a brain to even begin to understand the explanation. It would just be a waste of time...
-
Praise RNGesus!!!!!!!
-
Week music machine was added Xûr sold radiant dance machines. I think he is rng but they can change it

Edited by santabunny27: 5/17/2015 3:46:58 PMYay xur!! RNG!
-
3 RepliesSunbreakers were sold 3times in the first 4 weeks. That is not something that should be wished upon anyone
-
1 ReplyWho FUCKING cares anymore...
-
He didnt sell voidfang 5 weeks in a row because he has only sold the majority of the items 3 times each
-
Anyone who dont get that Activision/ bungie get paid from the amount of online hours logged into each game which in turn means they will do shady stuff to keep you playing is naive. Xur is rng MOST OF THE TIME BUT NOT ALL THE TIME.
-
3 RepliesHe's not RNG because at least 1 person on the forum always posts what he's gonna sell.
-
7 RepliesHe is RNG. People just want someone to blame when he sells their favorite gun. Personally, I think he should just be removed.
-
2 RepliesYou smoke weed and your still stupid. If it is RNG, the chances of getting some weapons is smaller. For instance, non dlc armor. The far below just came out and cut has already sold all exotic armor and guns more than 3 times each. Meanwhile some of the non dlc items haven't even been sold (thunderlord, ghorn(not anymore) and many other weapons just got sold 1 time. How Is it that somehow all the dlc exotics are so common??? Because they want you to spend your -blam!-ing money stupid
-
I don't care....why should you....because bungie wants you to
