Did anyone finished the nightfall this week without...
going under the stairs or jumping on top of the light?
Just wondering because screw that lol
Played it last night with two friends and if we didn't go under the stairs we would have had little chance of beating it.
Edit: Thanks for all the honest posts and tut, tut, tut to the liars. Stats don't lie ;-)

2 RepliesWent down stairs with my clan mates , did old bullet sponge valus t'arc in 5-10 mins . Tried last night with 2 friends Me " get down here " Them " what , nah it's alright ill just ... " Guardian down Friend 2 " it's alright I'll come and ...." Guardian down Me ; stuck behind boxes with every fkin major psion , cabal and bullet sponge himself gunning at me ..... Jumped out " leeeeeeerooooooy jeeeeenkinnnnns " Died , wiped , to orbit , went to watch a film with my girl . And that was all she wrote .......

I did this week's nightfall solo but yeah, I hid under the stairs and kept jumping up next to the ramp to get a quick noscope ib shot on valus or hit him with a nade.

I spend a lot of time behind the boxes that are right in the corner near the botom of the stairs. But his rockets get me occasionally

The lamp is good from where he starts, but he can get at you when he walks to the other side. I had more trouble in the Weekly than I did the Nightfall. In the Nightfall, we stayed on the right side and this one guy had a fully maxed G-horn. The boss made it to the other side of the room and died. Total Nightfall time was 20 minutes. The weekly took an hour and we wiped 2 times.

1 ReplyIt's doable, the worst or most difficult part is the Psion majors/ultras, now those guys are annoyingly large bullet sponges in a small frame. Though had a friend focus on them while the others DPS valus alternating cover fire with other adds

Yeah. None of us could reach the lamp. One of us had hided behind the safe stairs and he was the safest and when me or my other team mate died. We quit and rejoined. It took awhile but we finished the nightfall. I got screwed over in terms of night fall rewards.

3 level 32s with maxed ice breakers and gjallarhorns one of which was a titan giving us weapons of light. Rockets McDickface was Rockets McDeadface

I don't see why people have to use the term "legit" if your use the spot under the ramp. I don't believe for a second that it wasn't purposely designed that way,hell there's even another on the same side /when he walks to the other side of the room. Someone said it me the other day when reaching Omnigul, my reply was how is using cover in a room cheesing it? Am I glitching anything? I'm using a corner/it's shape to help me stay alive, much like I'll always take a good vantage point or use the environment to keep me covered/from getting killed. It's like saying using cover is cheesing. The light spot on this weeks nightfall is a grey area, I haven't used it myself.

Hell yeah I did it legit, on all three of my hunters. Its not to hard if you havr a full fireteam and you all stick together and watch each others backs. Just need to be patient and watch out for those psions lol... Oh a warlock with self rez came in handy too haha

I only really went in there when it was necessary, but I like the thrill of not playing in there. Plus I was using as much stealth as possible :)

Myself and one other did it but yes we hid behind the boxes. I try not to hid as much as possible but -blam!- that for this mission.

I soloed it blindfolded whilst standing on my left pinkie only using my melee

Basically solo'd him from under stairs, the other guys were dead out in the room and there was no way to reach them. I was rewarded with a special legendary weapon, which turned into shards. They received icebreaker and the mida multi-tool. :( All good though I can't complain, RNG has been good to me.
