Jupiter and Saturn will never be playable because they are gas giants for those who never did science at school this means that they are made of gas and can't be walked on without sinking into the surface so yea everyone stop saying they will be planets at some point.
Edit: I'm trying to respond to everyone but it is getting harder the more people that respond so sorry if I don't respond
Edit 2: This is in no way implying that the MOONS of those planets won't be playable only that the planets themselves won't be
Edit 3: I'm getting sick of people saying TERRAFORM IT LIKE THEY DID WITH THE OTHER PLANETS you can't just make a gas giant solid and add an atmosphere and all of a sudden it's playable and nothing is wrong

3 RepliesYour an idiot and here's y: this is a video game and nething can be nething
-
3 RepliesWhat they should do is make ship levels when you can actually drive your ship and shoot at things
-
3 RepliesOK So That Means Mercury, Venus, Mars, should not be playable because mercury and Venuses heat would instantly Melt you and The Freezing Temps on mars will instantly Freeze you
-
Yeah and I'm pretty sure we'd burn up standing next to Mercury. We can figure out how to walk on gas. :D
-
I'm a gas giant and my woman plays with me all the time.
-
They have moons and we could build stations in the clouds and we could terraform them
-
they have moons
-
I like to eat Slim Jims

If I remember correctly the planned location on Jupiter wasn really the planet it self but one of its moons Europa. It looked amazing, if it does end up becoming reality then it would be awesome.
-
1 ReplySomeone is taking logic a little too seriously in a video game, besides Saturn and Jupiter have moons buddy.
-
Theres a crucible map on saturn...
-
3 Replies
they're gas Giants
EZ, we freeze them.
-
Easy fix. Some new threat to us all have colonized these gas giants with Bespin Cloud City type habitats. You're welcome.
-
2 RepliesIf logic applies to destiny, then we'd be dead within minutes of entering venus, and we'd be jumping higher on the moon, and we'd fire Eva for selling useless junk (in 2 months it'd all be useless) If the vex can turn mercury into a machine, then Oryx can freeze parts of saturn or jupiter making some parts solid.
-
1 ReplyWhat if the vex built machines inside them like they did the other planets?
-
well in the world of destiny the traveler has a lot of powers. it can terraform any planet :)
-
I'm sure with all the technology in Destiny they would be able to make something like cloud city from Star Wars.
-
Why do people always forget about Neptune aka The Best Planet. Next DLC should be there if we are talking gas giants
-
Lol. Its a game
-
By that logic if you made it to the lighthouse you should be dead. The heat from the sun alone would kill you. I don't even wanna get into skin cancer and what have you. Lol
-
Stupid thread. Nobody cares.

Edited by xBongLeach562x: 9/12/2015 4:19:56 AMTheir moons will, probably.
-
1 ReplyYes, because this game is based around such a non-fictional premise.
-
You see, there are alien forces at work too though, and I'm sure they have the ability to do certain things that we would view as impossible. Which makes room for new things to happen.
-
What about floating cities or massive ship. Idea from Jupiter ascending:) or floating city in Saturn's ring that would be fun!

Use your imagination!
