PS4 doubled XB1 in sales for the US in January

And personally, as someone who played Tomb Raider in the last Gen, I don't know why anyone would purchase it a second time. Getting outsold 2:1 (console sales not tomb raider) on your home turf and best market, while the competition is supply constrained to boot. It's only going to get uglier once PS4 launches in Japan and gets its stock back. Mandatory Kinect was such a bad idea.

15 RepliesThat's nice. But we'll see what happens down the line. They've only both been out for about a total time of three months. Last gen, MS took off and rocked it for most of the generation, only to get passed by the PS3 in the last year or two. It's going to be a long gen with both companies stating that these machines are slated for 10+ year lifespans, anything can happen. And I am neither pro nor con for either system/company. I own both the Xbox One and the PS 4, I just prefer my One to the PS, so I game on it much more. But they're both great systems, and even if you only get one, have fun with the one you choose.

I'm just going to say this and leave. The Kinect is holding them back with cost. Do multi platform games look better on the PS4, mostly but the price difference is going to be the deciding point for most people.

If Microsoft is getting outsold nearly 2:1 in the US on a monthly basis then they'll need to be hitting the panic button.
