Title. End of story. Cut and dry. Scout rifle is garbage.
Edit - when I say cheeks, I mean garbage. Trash. Not good. Just as bad if not worse than avalon.
-
2 RepliesWait. Does that mean the mission is good? Because I like cheeks.
-
9 RepliesI loved the mission, but I also loved Whisper and Zero Hour. I'm guessing you hated those missions too, i'm also guessing this is because of a skill issue.
-
It was cool. Not as hard as I thought it'd be. Didn't even require a "Div -Bleep-". All it took was just one Hunter, A Warlock, & A Titan(me) to get the job done.
-
the gun is nothing special yeah, but the mission is fantastic
-
Only thing I didn't like was starting the dive from the beginning each time if you failed.
-
9 RepliesThe scout is actually good, but the mission is actually bad, and im hoping a replay is not the requirement for the Catylst.
-
10 RepliesWhy would you put an exotic mission in this type of activity? The quest step I’m on is to just complete a deep dive. It’s been two hours and still haven’t completed it. Doing it solo now just to get it over with. The trouble I’m seeing is one player wants to do the exotic quest and one doesn’t have a clue. They aren’t trying pressure thing or the exotic quest. Both die like 15 to 20 times. One either leaves after passing up the exotic quest and the other is just clueless. Bad idea for an activity in my opinion.
-
Well I mean they did say it out loud didn’t they? Not wanting to overdeliver and such, we just haven’t realized the full scope of that statement yet, but we are learning quick lol.

Edited by Rastaman (GRANDMASTER): 7/8/2023 8:33:47 AMThen why do all that trouble in the first place? Whenever something new comes out , people are acting like that is the only thing to do and don't you think it is enough already ? How many exotic armor and weapons is there now ? And who is using the most recent stuff ? I can do any mission , activity or whatever with the guns and armor i already have. Pretty darn good too. I did not do the exotic mission because i know it is gonna be boring and yet AGAIN another useless exotic gun that will collect dust in my vault. The time of outbreak perfected , whisper of the worm , dead mans tale and hawkmoon missions are over. But at least i had fun doing them. You can buy them from xur now , what do you think will happen with this "new scout" ? Or maybe now it will remain because the mission is not fun and the gun itself is not great either. 🤣 Typical bungie logic. Look at the planet mars. It was such a nice planet , i had much fun when i could explore it back in the day but it is gone. Now we have a new planet called neomuna and it is the worst planet they have ever created and everyone complains about it but yet it remains ...

Both the gun and the mission are trash.
-
1 ReplyHonestly, I didn't find the mission all that bad. My only complaint is that you need to play a public match made activity to start it. Remember when people would leave Deep Dives if the Pressure Trial didn't get activated? Guarantee you. The exact same thing will happen now if someone wants to do the mission, but others don't.
-
11 RepliesAvalon is actually good, not exactly enjoyable, but good. The new exotic quest is simply lazy and half assed. No other words for it, they barely put any effort into it at all.
-
3 RepliesMy take is the mission is mediocre, but not offensive. Pros: -I’m glad we’re back to having a timer (I know this is a con for many people but imo secret missions are never intense or difficult without a timer). This is just a personal preference though -The mission is quite difficult. You need decent planning and coordination to effectively complete it. Cons: -Having to go through half a Deep Dive every time to access it is annoying. It should’ve been that you deposit the blades and upon completion of the activity you gain access to the mission on the directory. I’m not opposed to having in-world activations like Whisper, but putting it in a matchmade activity is disastrous. -The mission is too short. 15-20 minutes should be the minimum for timed missions. Adding another section would make this mission more memorable and more on par with Whisper and Zero Hour -The reward is mediocre. One of the reasons Whisper and Zero Hour were so cool was that the reward at the end was 100% worth your troubles. Wicked Implement is not utterly useless but it definitely isn’t a meta-defining gun. It’s a very middle of the pack exotic, and with so many exotics in the game, that essentially is equivalent to bad.

22 RepliesEdited by COMBATICUS: 7/7/2023 2:08:49 PMI would have given the mission a slight pass if the damn scout was at least decent. I mean, we practically went through the whole season, time-gated , for a weapon that isn't even that good. I hate to say or see ppl that this game should just die. We all know we don't want that. But at this point, with how badly pvp is being treated, gambit hasn't gotten any update in 4 years , and we don't even get strikes with cool strike pieces of gear or weapons anymore. We just get reused weapons with different skin, story missions, or battlegrounds as strikes. I don't mind it dying at this point I've seen lazy, but bungie takes that word and adds a different meaning to it. And their passion for this title is just gone. I've used to get to at least 250 to 300 per season lvls, now I don't care if I hit 100. I get w.e urge I have to play this game and then turn it off. It's just not worth it, I don't care what I miss out on anymore

2 RepliesMaybe I’m just old, but that title makes it sound like it’s good.
-
Scout is great on a stasis lock an mission was fun a tough , like DMT on hard mode
-
Skill issue. The scout is great, but not meta defining. The mission is tough but doable.
-
Its just as bad as the ritual seasonal scout, hopefully the catalyst improves it significantly
-
Mission isn't too bad, but the gun itself is horrible
-
I honestly dont think the gun is worth
-
Do you have it?
-
- then clap them cheeks.
-
6 RepliesWe go from Whisper and Zero Hour to this garbage lol. Lazily hidden statues in a publicly matchmade seasonal activity with the most barebones "lore" possible in the form of voice dialogue. What happened to all of that Eververse money funding cool, experimental, different secret exotic missions? Total lie.

I like to clap
