And just move to the artifact to level up with. Similar to how Diablo 3 does it. Paragon Levels that progress through XP while Gear is separate. That way players can focus on builds with their gear. Leveling isn’t something that you should actively do, it should be something that just happens in the background when doing activities. That’s what makes Diablo 3 fun. You just kill things, collect loot, do bounties etc. and before you realize it, you went up 10 paragon levels without even thinking about it. That’s how leveling in Destiny 2 should be.

4 RepliesEdited by hate n payne: 8/15/2022 11:30:43 AMArtifact leveling is better for the health and longevity for the game and players. All content is handled by the community by our own standards and limitations while the rewarding process is granted via the Artifact system. It is a win win. Throw in optional matchmaking and in game LFG and boom the game becomes more accessible to players as a whole versus no lifers. Cater to the majority for accessibility. Cater to the minority for content. Bungie cannot satisfy the minority first when the majority is needed. Satisfy the majority and eventually the minority will be rewarded.

1 ReplyI prefer gear leveling to boring artifact. Bounty simulator is worse than clears.
-
2 RepliesDestiny 2 is not Diablo 3

5 RepliesYou know we have that right ? Artifact level ....

I would like it if unlocking all the things in collections had milestones that unlocked access to things. Then there would be a progression system that felt like a scavenger hunt. So when new stuff comes out, even shaders and vehicles it benefits players to unlock them even if it's not something they want to use. I might even do game modes I normally don't then to unlock the gear in collections even if I'll never want to use the gear.

1 ReplyThere is absolutely no argument for keeping light level grinding. As someone who plays pretty often but plays other games on the side it’s incredibly frustrating to wake up one day for the update and see you are under the recommended light level for something you were just able to do a couple of weeks ago. Even more so for my buddies who rarely play this game and we can’t even do high level activities together because of their level.
-
1 ReplyIndeed. Ain’t nobody got time for rng leveling.
-
Sadly, light level grind and gatekeeping some content to it ( even though you had access to it previously ) ....is consisered "content" to Bungie.
-
4 RepliesBut light level grinding is content bro 😂 grind same activities for the past 4 years to play same old end game stuff
-
Get rid of levelling completely save for perhaps major expansions. Keep the artifact but levelling it just gives the mods.
-
I don’t mind the power grind but my issues is getting pinnacles that repeatedly drip in the same slot. Nothing worse then running a raid and getting all energy weapon. Or banging out 5 pinnacles and getting a bond and a pair of boots n a pair of helmets. They should really give us the option to focus our pinnacles

13 RepliesI don’t mind a power grind. I don’t mind what is essentially a reset every expansion annually. What I’m growing less fond of is the moving goal post every 3 months with the loss of artifact power. Every season by the end of it I’m on the verge of being able to do GM content, with the friends lagging just a bit behind me. So every season we get close, but then the season ends and the climb starts all over again. I’ve kind of just resigned myself that we just don’t really care about Destiny “end game”. Power level isn’t even really power level in this game. Because at a certain point you gain no further advantage from it in PvE. It’s just a way of gating content. You’re not really growing more powerful. If the game just allowed you to select between difficulty settings for all activities (Normal, Legend, Master) you wouldn’t really notice a difference except in no longer having to waste time grinding for power level. So yeah, either power level needs to matter, or just be tossed out. But Bungie won’t do either, because they won’t let us over level for content and they want to keep engagement numbers up so we have to grind.

1 ReplyBoba Fett would like game like this. Is bounty simulator. Is a bounty hunter game. Boba likes! Hehehe! Mando be like is the way. Hehehe!
-
2 RepliesThat's why D2 has gear infusion.

5 RepliesSome of the most entraining conversations start with “[insert basic action] is hard so let’s get rid of it.” Great idea instead of having to play an hour a week to do gms I would get to play an hour a season. We should get rid of all core feature that are super difficult for some. After we get rid of leveling we should get rid of character class. Deciding what to play is really difficult so instead we should have one class that can do everything. I even have a name picked out we could call the one class a titan.

3 RepliesLet's remove the nonsensical pinnacle gear that relies on RNG drop and put back 50 power anyone can do even with blues. There you go, reaching GM power requirement from playing the game
-
3 Replies
And just move to the artifact to level up with. Similar to how Diablo 3 does it. Paragon Levels that progress through XP while Gear is separate
I know this is a meme, but that's literally catering to the no lifers. They'd end up shifting grind from activities back into heavy heavy bounty/xp grinds to compensate

Diablo also get boring after u max out everything and you have the strongest build for that season I use to play Diablo all the time but got bored with just being completely broken and max everything
-
Thematically it has to be on gear.

1 ReplyEdited by Taejzon23: 8/12/2022 12:00:20 AMAgreed. This was the first season ever where I just didn't care anymore about level. Period. Just too much of a grind. I honestly think they played this hand as much as they could in the past. They know it's gotten old and needs a change.
-
2 RepliesI started half-assing the pinnacle grind last season and I'll probably do even less this season for it. Just csnt be bothered anymore....same crap every season for a year. Nah.
-
Diablo 3 is fun. I should try and get back to that game to platinum it.
-
3 Repliesthe paragon levels are insanity i went from level 1 to paragon level 600 in a few days
-
8 RepliesWe need less bounty farming in this game.

1 ReplyDestiny is not Diablo 3 so what works for Diablo may not translate to Destiny. Many want to change Destiny to fit their own perspective and I understand that but what about the players who like the current Destiny template.
