Anyone else think if you bail on a trials match you should get penalized like leaving Gambit?
-
there gonna implement it also i would agree more with you if the pvp elite in the comments weren't so toxic taking destiny pvp so seriously wen its pretty close to borderlands pvp in balancing issues XD

4 RepliesEdited by Braata-Lr: 9/14/2021 2:03:05 PMNo. You are already getting penalized by just playing trials.
-
Well good news starting next week they will be penalized...and harsher consequence will be placed if too many still do it
-
1 ReplyIf you cant handle going against stacks, dont do trials until freelance comes out. You know going in solo that theres a very good chance of going against full teams. All you're doing is screwing the other solos that had the unfortunate luck to get paired with you.

Quitters are 🐶 💩 and deserve to play without rewards & -100000 glimmer for every game they leave. Everyone has a excuse for quitting but the reality is that they don’t want to mess up their perfect kd so they don’t care about the other two team members left behind.

1 ReplyIsn't comp for this? Trials is an IB with different rewards. If people want to sweat then they should play competitive. I know there is zero incentive to play competitive now (no pinnacles or exclusive quests) but that is the true skill test. Trials died becuase of previous state of cheats etc. I am happy to leave if I'm matched randomly against 3x flawless who will just stomp me. If this penalty is introduced then it will reenforce the fact that bungie is providing cannon fodder for the top 1% by forcing you to commit to the game which will kill it for 99% of the players again.

Anyone else think if you bail on a trials match you should get penalized like leaving Gambit?
If I load in and see a 3 stack of obvious flawless people. I am leaving and you have literally no excuse why I shouldn't. Its stupid.

But remember… People to lazy to use LfG: “bUt wE wANt TRiaLs MatChMakiNG” Now y’all have it lol
-
1 ReplyNo because it’s not the users fault they get matchmade with people that don’t know how to play. Matches aren’t fun with people that take the longest illogical route toward enemies
-
Give them rep to stay in the game.
-
Not just penalised, but an instant 30min ban.
-
They should ….especially the groups that keep backing out until they get blueberries…..ultimately they need to place flawless people against other flawless people….

Edited by Rainbine 9545: 9/15/2021 8:31:34 AMI don’t have a option on this, I don’t really care since the matchmaking is trash, IMO, but I do know were some people get the idea of leaving, because some people don’t like being farmed or stomped, I don’t like it when im on either side, but I do understand both sides well enough, being almost flawless and running into a full stack, of already flawless players, it is a no win situation most of the time, so yeah I do get why some people are frustrated about them leaving, but remember they are frustrated of being in a impossible match Edit: plus the fact they know they will lose their flawless or safety net either way, the only thing they lose is the progress of rep
-
Yep. Got abandoned way to much.
-
Absolutely. The penalties should be even steeper if it is commonplace and intentional, not related to connection issues. If you repeatedly quit, you should be locked out of the playlist. It is the pinnacle competitive PvP activity that has been made into another participation trophy playlist. Quitters should lose the privilege of being allowed to compete.
-
17 RepliesAgreed, people also don’t seem to realize that if they’re destined to lose a match the only way they’ll actually get better is by trying to win and seeing what happens. You don’t learn what good players do in a match if you run away everytime.
-
I get penalized for leaving Gambit?
-
1 ReplyAgree with this. There is no excuse for solo queueing and then bailing. If players want more assurances about teammates skill levels and loadouts etc they can LFG, set KD requirements and check trials report.
-
the reason why the penalize is there in comp\gambit is because wins are required to rank up....so it requires teammates that are in there to win it.... in trials you can still rank up rep from losses....in comp/gambit you loose rep on loss....this is the reason why.
-
23 RepliesNope. Matchmaking forces people to leave. I leave cause im tired of being qued into sweats so i lobby hop to my wins
-
1 ReplyEdited by Split: 9/14/2021 2:45:37 PMMake it a 3 strike rule for the weekend. 1st match u leave warning shows, 2nd match banned from playlist for an hour, 3rd time you're out for the weekend come bak next week. This is how I wld do obviously is error coded out of match wld not count.
-
2 RepliesCan’t stand people who leave games ….gutless .
-
1 ReplyNah, there should at least be a 'forfeit' option first. If two people vote to forfeit, game over.
-
47 RepliesNope. You should never be punished. Gaming is suppose to be fun. I do believe bungie needs to a bit more work. I feel that bungie need a tier system on the trials cards. Once you've been flawless and you reset your card, you go into tier 2 which means you only play against other flawless people. Once you go flawless a second time, it's double loot.

Edited by Tis-but-a-scratch: 9/16/2021 9:59:12 PMEasy fix. Just implement SBMM. After all it is trials so it should be competitive for all. What I witnessed and was a part of this past weekend was the best players being hand fed the worst players. No wonder people leave.
-
Edited by Darth Derrr (Defiled): 9/15/2021 3:19:53 AMNo. And I don't think we should be penalized for it in gambit either. I quit a few matches this past weekend. Sometimes in the second round when I get insta team shot again by adept weapons and one blueberry is way off on the other side of the map and dies... I 100% know it's going to be a loss
