I just read the latest crucible thread from Joe Blackburn. While communication is key to a great dev/community relationship, it might be too little too late. He states a renewed focus on pvp, not in those words but in principle. And new upcoming maps. While new content is always appreciated the amount of time in between said content is unacceptable.
Trials will be getting a rework next season, no time frame stated. And we’ll be getting new maps in season 16. Season 16 won’t start until 2022. I don’t know what the count since a new map was introduced is up to. But I think that puts us over two years.
With new and old game modes returning/being introduced in 2022 also. We’ve all heard and read the same sentiments before. And with the majority of the pvp community already gone or dabbling in other games. I think the neglect of the crucible has done irreparable damage to the pvp community’s trust of this studio.
I want to believe they actually care about pvp. But actions speak louder than words. And they’ve done the absolute minimum over the past 2 years plus to show they care. I just don’t believe them anymore. And until they show me/us otherwise. I’ll never be able to.
Sorry for the length. Rant over.

100% too little/too late. Still doing the bare minimum to try and keep pvp alive and it won't work. For the people still playing crucible i salute you.
