For many years, humans have solved problems by analyzing, hypothesizing, and studying, and in doing this, have ignored our gut instinct.
But nowadays, in a world of information overload, where so much is spoken, but nothing is actually said, it is best to trust your own gut instincts. Your gut has thousands of years of evolution behind it and it’s primary goal is to see you healthy and prospering.
A big problem that many of us have/had is anxiety from overthinking. Our brain is rushing to all these different conclusions and predicting every single outcome it can think of. You can’t fault the brain for this, it’s simply doing it’s job. But we have a better tool for this job. Our gut. Gut feels good? Do it. Gut doesn’t feel good? Don’t do it.
Now perhaps you don’t know what your gut instinct feels like. It wouldn’t surprise me, all our instincts are very dull in today’s world. It’s a very abstract feel. A feeling of just good or bad when thinking of something.
Once you’ve started to gain more access to your gut instinct, don’t confuse it with your brain thinking something is good, as the two are very different. For example, you do some cocaina in the bathroom. Brain feels good, but later on, gut doesn’t feel good because it knows this isn’t right. That’s what you want to listen to.
How does the gut instinct work? My guess is it has something to do with vibrations. Everything gives off vibrations of some sort and lower vibrations trigger the bad feeling in our gut, while higher vibrations trigger the good feeling in our gut. I’ve also heard people talk about how it’s specifically your gut biome of bacteria reacting to those vibrations (hence how it got the gut name) and relaying that to the rest of your body.

1 ReplyIf I only ever listened to my gut then I’d be dead by now. On another note, you have it wrong in a different way. It’s not the vibrations, it’s the taste of the smell of the vibrations that the bacteria listen to.

Everytime time I've listened to my gut instinct, it always led to the opposite. So rather not.
spoiler or something idk
1 ReplyThese are the types of discussions we need more of these days. Too many people get caught up in the superficial realm of media. They look for validation from people and strangers who not only don’t care, but don’t really wish others the best from a genuine place. It’s becomes a competition of keeping up with the Joneses, only it’s not just the neighbors anymore. All of this lowers ones vibration/frequency. We are, after all, beings of energy. There does seem to be a big shift where people are becoming much more aware of this. Typically, it’s not really something you can explain to others, at least not without sounding a bit insane, it’s something they need to come to understand themselves. Just as Morpheus said, he can show you the door, though you are the one who needs to pass through.

Normally my gut takes a bit of settling-in time to get a feel for the situation, but once it’s come to a decision it’s damn near always right.

3 RepliesThere’s a time and a place for both gut instincts, and analysis. Saying to always go with one or the other is bad advice; know when & where you should use each.
