When D2 first launched PvP was honestly trash, the TTK was so bad people just held hands and team shoot everything, even saying "team shoot" basically gives me urials and mida ptsd lol, we didn't have much of a skill gap either, as long as you where good enough to hold someone's hand and shoot what they shoot your a good player, QP matchmaking basically only matched you with people at your skill so it was pretty much 4v4 comp, that resulted in me not "play testing" new guns, just grab a team, load it, sweat as hard as you can in QP, ( by sweat I mean hold hands 24/7 ) repeat, and comp was a useless playlist, we didn't even have private matches to do skrims or 1v1 ect, so I just played D1 instead, untill warmind it kinda saved it, we got private matches, we got ranked, we got 6v6 QP that actually felt like a causal playlist, but we still had a bad TTK and no radar, so basically still hold hands and team shoot, but forsaken finally fixed PvP, it feels like D1 but better, supers are powerful, exotics and powerful, we got 2-hit melees, 3-tap hand cannons like crispy ace of spades or not forgotten, we have shotguns, snipers, bows, pulses, smgs, ect, all killing really fast, we have a actual skill gap, you actually need to aim your gun and win your gun fights, you gotta out play shotguns and fusions, watch out for sniper and scout lanes ect, so good players are rewarded and can destroy as a solo without needing to hold hands anymore, and bad can't can't get away with just holding hands and laser beaming with urials, QP is a blast, my favorite PvP for sure ( and I own BO4, OW, R6, ect ) comp is really good, really sweaty, makes me wanna play at high ranks, iron banner feels great, it's not as simple as QP and it feels special, and I have high hopes for trials and the future of PvP in D2, in a year it transformed from trash to treasure!
