Upvote to leave sleeper alone

As topic says.... I die from it as much as I kill with it. Just deal with it and join in. It’s super fun Have people thought of tracking rockets? They are fire and forget in the right hands. As a matter of interest, is it solo players who want the nerf more so than team players If it is to get a nerf or “changes” guardians will just find another weapon to use, and that’s when the cycle will start, and then where will it end. #leavesleeperalone Edit: This is how it all started back in D1... Don’t let it happen again Edit 2: Great comments guys for and against, remember it’s the best gun for dps from range, just so happens it’s good for the pvp aspect as well. Edit 3: Let’s hope bungie get this right, I mean nerf it for pvp but don’t take away one of the best heavy weapons in the game in pve. Edit 4: So bungie tweeted about the sandbox team looking in to POSSIBLE changes. Had some suggestions from you guys. Change the heavy ammo economy for gambit, maybe one heavy drop per round. Only allow heavy to drop when the primeval spawns in. Have heavy ammo taken away when you invade. Over 500 upvotes wow guys this is great.   • Im fine with sleeper as a weapon and its damage output.. what i dislike about it is the hitreg on the thing.. I have litterally gotten kills while aiming like 5 mm onscreen away from the guy and it just counts as a kill.. if that beam is anywhere near a player it will register which i think it shouldnt.. this way it will not affect pve performance but it will make sure you need to aim somewhat in pvp.

    • I love Sleeper as much as the next guy but-- When a weapon becomes so overcentralizing that NOT using it inherently puts you at a disadvantage, there's a problem there. It's a good thing this only affects Gambit though, if it were to affect actual Crucible and PvE, then I'd be up in arms with everyone else. However, that's not the case. Hopefully all it does is prevent one shot body kills on enemy guardians. The thing has a ton of aim assist, so it's not hard to get the precision hit anyway, but it DOES feel very cheap to get blasted out of just about any Super from a body shot at any range. This also puts it in line with the other Exotic LFR, The Queenbreaker.(Poor thing is rendered obsolete bc of Sleeper)

          • I think taking heavy ammo from the invader would be a fair trade as well as removing either the overshield OR marking players through the wall. The invader has too many benefits. Yeah I get it, it’s 4v1 but come on.

            wow you really just said that.... when your only option is to use 1 gun just to be able to compete then there is problem might not be with the gun could be an issue with the game mode for example remove the wall hack and people can no longer pre-charge and pre aim from behind cover from the other side of a map and instantly the sleeper becomes risky to use again like in normal pvp due to its long charge and fire time.

          • Maybe some reduced damage at certain distances but not really bothered it’s a popular weapon so just gotta roll with it as people have said everyone will just find something else to complain about

          • Though I agree that the balance needs to be separated for PvE & any activity with PvP elements, it’s just insane when I get one shotted despite having an overshield from invading & having my super activated.

            • Just got it, im a PVE player most of the time, i only do some PVP when needed for ingame stuff. I tought Bungie said they stopped listening to all the crying of a minority because they did investigate the game tru algoritmes or sumtin like that..., looks like their gonna nerf the game back to year 1 again. And everyone stops playing again, they will never learn...

                • There's nothing wrong with Sleeper. It's just annoying seeing almost everyone using it. Don't get me wrong....it's effective and totally does the job.....it's just damn annoying. Reminds me of some old Dark Souls Invasion rage days.

                      I think they should nerf the body shot damage so it doesn't 1 shot then add the damage on to the catalyst so only those with the catalyst can one shot to the body? That would seem fair to me
