BUNGIE STOP FORCING US TO PLAY PVP MATCHES
I'm betting I'm not the only one that is getting pissed off at bungie for forcing us to play pvp matches just to get an exotic weapon from both the ace of spades quest and now the crucible tournament I'm starting to see why people have stop playing and wont even come back to see how Forsaken is. The story for Forsaken is good the new weapons but everything else they -blam!-ed us over to the point people who are casual players and are mainly pve players get screwed. If bungie ever wants their player base from D1 back stop forcing us to play in pvp matches for an exotic that seems to be more for pve. Make a choice for the quests not forcing us then maybe I can get people who use to play but stopped because they screwed over players to come back.

2 RepliesI feel your pain. Really. They are trying to force pvp players to do the pve stuff. Do it or else you will never gain any light!!!! (Ok. I can live with that.) They think that if you try pvp that you might like it. The truth is that most people don't like getting stomped, so that may not work out so well for them.

1 ReplyI agree. Name another MMO that forces people into a PvP scenario more than PvE for loot. I did not buy Call of Duty because I do not like PvP! Stop trying to force this trash... I mean freaking TRASH PvP on us! I bought Destiny for the story and PvE element! And for that reason I have not, and will not buy Forsaken.

In one of the Forsaken Behind the Scene's they explicitly said "What Forsaken is, is Us Listening to our community" Oh boy, did i laugh my ass off at that statement. Solstice of Heroes armor set TOP complaint was "PvP walls" Guess we the community TOTALLY asked for MORE PVP WALLS! I mean, come the hell on! Bungie should Know that There is a significant Chunk of the community that is More about PvE then PvP. Yet they "Listened" (only Not really) And added 3 more exotics, tied to PvP. One of wich is the FLAGSHIP Exotic gun, that is heavily advertised and the story Kinda focuses on that also happens to be Tied to the preorder bonus! I would have NOT preordered if i knew the Ornament was for something locked behind PvP Walls

They created the game, but once you've purchased it; it's yours. We shouldn't be forced to play their game the way they want, and constantly forced to do something we don't enjoy. Every quest should have multiple ways of completion, if a weapon needs 25 Crucible kills, then it should say, 25 Crucible kills OR 150 head shots PVE, and complete 5 heroic public events. That's just an example, but there we can see, my choice would probably be the crucible, as it would be quicker but it's all about giving us options.

I'm mainly a pve player and hate pvp, but by the same token, how do you think the mainly pvp players feel about having to play pve for the same reason. The game was not designed to be catered to your specific wants and needs. If you are just a pve player there's literally a buttload of better exotic guns than both of those in that gametype. You're just being an entitled whiner who wants meaningless pixels they can't get on their own apparently or just don't want to do the steps to attain it.

PvP is part of the game, they want you to play there game. They've always had exotics that required you to do PvP since Vanilla D1. Then again those who play PvP usually hate having to play PvE for exotics and Masterworks... and several other things. So... can't make everyone happy I guess.

If a guy who played this game for a couple of weeks (at the time) can do it (meaning me and possibly others), I’m not understanding how people like you can’t even handle it. It’s one of THE most worthwhile exotics to get that has an actual challenge and is very rewarding. If you really thought that everything should practically be handed out to you in a game that has both PvE and PvP elements you are one deluded person. Quit the complaining, and get to earning it. That simple. [spoiler]and this isn’t even an elitist attitude. I have real life friends that agreed that this is one of the easier ones in the game.[/spoiler]

They are not forcing you to do anything. If you dont want the HC simply dont get it. It is cayde's crucible weapon after all.

So while doing my weeklies today I got really lucky and managed, by some miracle, to get all five invasion kills. Then I ended up on that cabal air base map with the tight corridors and since that map is incredible for laning I was able to get my head shot kills. So now that I’ve put in the effort and gotten it, I can definitively say without doubt or hesitation that it was not worth it. The gun is decent and is by no means bad, but if you really don’t like pvp and don’t do well in it, don’t waste your time. This only reinforced to me that the weapon should have been the reward for the campaign. The solo missions you have to do contains tons of lore and interesting development of Cayde as a character. Really interesting stuff for folks in to the lore and story and a crying shame that folks that can’t do the pvp objectives wont be able to see it.

31 RepliesIf you don't put in the effort, You don't deserve the loot. That's been the guiding principle for loot based mmo's since the start and shall continue to be until the genre dies. You want it, do the stuff required to get it, or accept the fact you won't get it. Either way, Suck it up buttercup.

How do casual players get screwed? Casually complete the exotic quest. Simples. There’s no losing progress by not logging in or getting defeated in crucible or gambit. Enjoy the grind or play a different game

1. Chaperone was ALWAYS a PvP exotic. Are you this dumb? 2. Bungie's representing the steps Cayde took to become a great hunter with the Ace of Spades. especially with the strikes and normal crucible.

All you need to do is make a post to find players to farn with. Period. Learn to get kills or headshots. Learn what guns are good in PvP and develop a new skill. This is a PvE and PvP game. Did bungie not make it obvious for you with the new game Mode gambit? Not confident enough to get 25 kills? U on ps4? Let me do them for you. You have so many options! Just ask for help. Bungie wants us to socialize outside of the game so we dont all become anti social....lol Im trust worthy too so if you on ps4 i can get you those precision kills for ace of spades!

1 ReplyEdited by Arbiter_Keyes: 9/12/2018 10:43:04 PMI understand your frustration but the gun really isn't that good it's okay at best and the reason I say this is the reload animation, when you roll the gun it should reload instead of it being a fancy rolling animation and then putting the ammo in. It effectively takes more time to reload the Ace, most hand cannons will be reloaded before the Ace will, it's an exotic it should reload faster than all legendary hand cannons. Second we don't have dedicated servers so I'm not going to support a broken PVP system I find it baffling so many people are willing to support the shity service Bungie provides for PVP I'm not going to tolerate the delay that takes place on a P2P net it's bad enough that I tolerate it in PVE. I really would like to PVP but I simply cannot I expect better service from a billion dollar IP

Only an increase in irritation that they really expect me to do that four more times. Even getting it was pure luck. Invasion kills really should count.

Crucible and Gambit should only ever be optional game modes. All quests and loot should exist solely in the main game. They're only locking stuff behind them because they can't keep enough people playing them. At this rate, Destiny 3 won't even have a story. It'll be pvp, gambit, and some crappy battle royale.

I mean they force the people who hate PVE to get good weapons to play on an even field with everyone else in crucible you dont see us complaining🤷♂️💯 I do see what your saying though I wish they would give us a choice to do quest that revolve around what we like to play

Whatever you do, if you only dabble in PvP for powerful engrams or the occasional quest, do not PvP on Tuesday! Whew! The matchmaking is terrible! In my first game we lost control about 90 to 20. Every member of the opposing team (and they were not in the same clan according to their emblem) was above a 5 k/d ratio. No one on my team was above a 1. The game was mercy called finally. Is this a joke? How can this even be allowed to happen?
