Nightfall Horrible
Seriously Bungie D1 Nightfalls were fun because u could sit back relax and take your time to get it done. Now with D2 you have to race through it cause there's a timer worst idea ever. Bungie Seriously go back to the way nightfall was on D1 Please.

So far they only ever show two modifiers, but the enemies very clearly have extra health and damage, and now this week almost every single one of them has a shield. These are all named modifiers, but none of them show up when you go to look at the details. It's also really fun that they have things like instant kill map hazards in most of the strikes. Nothing better than getting a brief singe from a lazer and having it immediately kill you, give you a ridiculously long spawn timer, and having it spawn you a mile away from where you actually died.

9 RepliesD2 nightfall do not suck. If you cant handle the difficulty of a timer, then don't play the nightfall. It's supposed to be a difficult strike, obviously, stress is a factor that also adds difficulty. Just because a bunch of noobs cant handle the timer doesn't mean they have to make it a piece of cake. Stop complaining about the difficulty and just enjoy the game. The timer is honestly not even that bad. It's easy as it is, you can beat it with randoms with way over 3 minutes remaining. D1 nightfalls were horrible. Sit at the back and spam shoot guns for 10 years. It's a step forward, stop trying to make it a step back because you can't handle the timer. Maybe improve in your flaws instead of crying on the forums about it?

Prestige nightfall this week = terrible. I feel bad for anyone grinding the rat King. Even killing the boss in the time limit is hard as fck. He disappears for minutes of the total engagement anyway

Agreed! I don't like the timers at all, I would rather play the og nightfall and get kicked out to orbit and start again than rush through it.

1 ReplyOk I get the timer argument - dont like it personaly as its an artificial pressure. But, is it not self defeating to program all those stages and mobs in each strike only to turn around in a nightfall and force you to skip them because of a timer? Would it not be better to have extra sub- bosses or link two strikes together to form a mini-raid. Even make it a kill everything in a certain time strike or even put in wave defence. All seems a bit bungie-lazy to me.

1 ReplyI have no interest in nightfalls anymore either it isnt fun anymore rushing isnt my thing it sapped the fun out of it that i cant snipe the bad guy from across the map just for fun to see who could kill the most with snipers stuff like that is what kept us entertained now we can have fun with it we gotta go go go

If you dedicate one person to hitting the anomalies while the other two clear our specific parts it’s fairly normal feeling; To me anyways. With that said the boss is a really pain of just waiting for him to appear after you nuke him for the 5 seconds he’s out.

Its about the fact that it's not fun with a timer. Nightfall is great because it presents really strong enemy's that you have to team up on in order to defeat them. So I have all these beast guns to shoot them but now my primary is my sparrow and my ammo is blasting past everything. Greaaaat...

Not a fan of the timer myself, but this week you have no excuse. There are dozens of 30 second boosts. We are very average players, and we hit the boss with 12 minutes left.

In about s month, many people will be completing the NF’s with a lot less struggle, and all will be right with the world. I will say the timer is kinda boring as a mechanic, so I’m hoping they change that over time. Maybe seasonally.

The timer isn't the issue. The issue is no ammo synths or ammo drops and the lack of grenades or supers. Most of the time I run out of secondary as well.
