What was the thing that finally made you stop playing?

1 ReplyA game is not dead until the question of the game being dead is no longer asked. Just saying. The fact you're saying this on Bungie's forum with a singular Destiny hashtag is proof that the game is neither dead or dying. Dry is obvious, but here you are discussing its still beating heart. Have i played any time recently, not at all. Doesn't make it dead, even to me. There are still new people joining and playing. This will continue to be a "living" game until they pull the plug on its servers as its a purely online game - only to be replaced with Destiny 2 in a ghost-esque resurrection. As for what made me stop... id done it all, no point to lose myself to grind. Im not about to grind and grind and grind like many in this thread until they cant stand the sight of the game.

I still play on Tuesdays.

No content.

Still playing

Got bored. Started playing rocket league, overwatch, old AC games, and halo 5 again. It's fun to be able to play a game I'm not addicted to lmao.

1 ReplyViper , how's my favorite destiny rabble-rouser?

6 RepliesIf I buy another video game my girlfriend will literally kill me, so Destiny it is until Destiny 2

The bullshit requirement to transfer over from a Legacy console to a newer one in order to use half this app. I can't even look at my own profile anymore because of that. Kind of a waste really. That being said, I'm thoroughly enjoying Titanfall 2 right now. Scorch bros for the win!

Just trying to beat a few games that were on the back burner then I'll figure out what my go to game will be.
-
Got bored. Went around doing everything and the game just wore out.
-
18 RepliesThe fact there wont be a carry over, therefore no point on keep trying since all that work is pointless now.
-
1 ReplyNot being able to play the whole game without 3rd party apps to play content. Lfg is same as matchmaking for Christ sakes
-
At some point I just had to stop playing Destiny and do other things instead. Hardly anyone else is ever on anyway. It's ok, because I already hit light level 400 and thus can log back in whenever I feel like it.

My friends dipped

Fat from dead just alot more games out there, when you only care for destiny PvE content the game gets dry.

Finding Satan

It's not dead, there's still tons of people who play. I've stepped away because there's just nothing to do anymore and I've gotten everything I want. I've been on Overwatch lately and it's a blast. Also having ranked and casual as separate playlists is awesome. Hopefully Bungie has learned that it's not possible to balance the crucible with competitive and casual in one playlist. Hopefully D2 has a ranked system.

I'd rather play a game where the things I use aren't weakened constantly.

Edited by phazonman: 2/6/2017 9:05:56 PMshotgun , unequal pvp , stormcaller noobs , annoying quest and impossible bosses . i prefer playing dragon ball xenoverse and battlefield 4 than being humiliated 99/100 in destiny pvp

Uncharted 4, Tomb Raider and Tommorow Children. I will come back at some point because I have meet some really awesome people in this game.
-
This kid I remember you lol well resident evil 7 took me away from destiny

Slow your roll Mr. lethal. Destiny is not dead but I will answer your question. What made me stop playing is that I have found nothing more to do. I used to do trials with some friends every weekend but frustration got to them and they stopped. After not playing for a while, my performance in PvP has gotten worse. I would grind to get the raid ship, but lfg. Just lfg. I haven't found a good lfg experience since kings fall. I have started to play Rainbow 6 Siege a lot more. Looking forward to tomorrow.
