Bungie, the grinch who stole our 3oC
as many of you noticed Xur is without 3oC this week so instead of being proper and assume it was a programming error i'm doing the proper thing... make a conspiracy theory (burns the shotgun) not that kind of conspiracy, that will never be welcomed here.
anyways, my theory is that the Grinch secretly works at Bungie and noticed how happy everyone was with receiving their 3oC's so much to our dismay he stole Xur's whole supply during this past week when we couldn't find it
now, as Guardians i see this as us only having 2 options.
1) we can be mature about this and spread holiday cheer without some silly trinket and spend time with our loved ones.
2) kick that bastard's furry green booty until we feel better and he learns to not take what is rightfully ours!
Edit: umm, okay, so this little satire thing has somehow turned into a war over the validity of 3oC's.... not sure how this happened since it was a silly thing to make reference to the holiday season

I think the Bungie forum posts are like 60% salt now. Thats a 600% increase from the original 10% saltiness on the forums.

I was surprised with that. But at least he offered exotic shards. I was already cannibalizing some of my exotics just to lvl up. It is a good change for me.

3 RepliesA heads-up would have been nice and to take away 3oC's when all the kids are on Christmas break is pretty cruel in my book. I haven't seen too many players on lately either. I was trying to do the 350 Siva Strikes last night and kept getting only one other player. I know it's the holidays but what's going on? The only thing keeping my on right now is SRL. Great job on that and I love all the 400 drops, I needed those. I was getting some nice exotics using my 3oC's but now I'm all out and Zur is not selling them of course. What are you guys thinking???? Take away something like 3oC's at this time of the year? Bad Bungie!!!!!1

I want my ToC, I didn't grind all week to get 175 Strange Coins to not be able to spend them on Xur's ToC...for what a 5 pack of Heavy Ammo Synth...now that mackes a lot of sense..NOT. Bring back ToC!!!

3oc will probably be away til srl is done, guess it was easier to not sell them than it was to fix the glitch. Glitch if not known, incredible high exotic engram drop rate when 3oc is used between end of race and when the rewards are given, that 10 second gap. I averaged 1 in 3 if not better. I did not even miss them this week, not even noticed they were not for sale, I was all heavy ammo this week. Would have been bummed if I went for 3oc tho.

What I noticed is that there are now 2 options for buying Heavy. Maybe the 2nd option for heavy stole the 3oC slot? Probably already mentioned somewhere around in the forums I guess.

25 RepliesI have had enough of bungie and there bullshit with rng , time to find another game where the rewards are worth the time spent getting them. I have spent 12 to 16 hrs. a day on this game since sept 2015, and now they bring an awesome weapon back and it is almost impossible to get. Nothing is getting better in fact its getting worse. I also have spent well over 2 gs in silver and as such. I love this game but bungie cant get there shit together.

I think it is because of the SRL. Last Year was the number of Exotic to high in SRL so I think that they don't want this number of Drops again this Year.

Its a half a$$ attempt to fix the game. They need to up the light level an freeze all exotics except the necro and vex. Then have everyone grind for them again. Or they could introduce an infusion ITEM that can be used to infuse any exotic and bring it up to the new light level. Then they would need to make exotics great again . Finally the excitement of dropping an exotic would return. The game would be special again. This is too late and too little. Everyone allready has everything by now.

It could just be a holiday gag, like how your title states the Grinch. It doesn't really bother me too much that xur isn't selling them but it was interesting, and boy are some of the people butthurt about this, "this game is trash because I can't get the exotic I already have" is basically what a lot of people are saying. Some people take this game a little too seriously.

1 ReplyWho really cares? At this point most of us have, or had, almost every exotic in the game. Xur sold these every week for how long? If you ran our because he didn't sell them this week then that's your mistake. I am just glad he sold exotic shards again.
