After all the negativity on the forums here I just want to post something positive.
I
AM
LOVING
STRIKE SCORING!
Strikes have Always been my favo Destiny activity and it is a blast seeing all those medals and kills pop up in my screen. Dragonsbreath + scoring + enemy spawn location = hella FUN
I have to say Bungie; Well done!
Anyone else loving this feature?
*Edit; You can see your individual score by scrolling to the right at the scoring screen!
*Edit; I cant believe Cozmo replied :') #Nerdgasm

So what does strike scoring do? and why wasn't it in the game before.

I do also enjoy this system of which to calculate the success of a mission in which you must defeat a boss.

1 ReplyEdited by Dezzie19: 12/20/2016 11:07:04 PMThanks for nothing new... but the scoreboard will keep me repeating a handful of strikes for another year, because we the Destiny fans are intelligent haha
-
I kinda hate it AT THE MOMENT. I've gotten matched with soooo many people that forget it's still a team effort so we die because no one wants to rez anymore
-
Strike scoring fixed self esteem issues.
-
It's cool... but the score means nothing... it doesn't upgrade loot or anything it's just there.
-
I don't care about the scoring per se but it does seem to have a positive effect on the otherwise highly common AFK'ing. Then again, it could just be that it's new and people still remotely care.

10 RepliesI thoroughly love it. My highest Strike-Score is 123,200.

2 RepliesPvE has a replayability issue IMO. Yes there are a certain portion of the playerbase who will raid/NF every week because they enjoy the activities, but the majority only do those activities when they are chasing loot / light. Both of these are relatively easy to obtain in the current form of Destiny versus Y1 and thus there is always a big drop off in participation once these have been achieved and hence the constant desire for new content. Strike scoring does go some way to help with this - it's the first time I've done strikes for ages for example with The Dawning, but the novelty will wear off soon and I'll stop doing them again. What I would like to see, is for Bungie to take the scoring a step further by including an in-game simple ranking/leaderboard system with cosmetic rewards each week for e.g.achieving a certain 'top-tier' score. Having an actual incentive to consistently play strikes is something that I think would add a lot of replayability and longevity to 'old' PvE content.

1 ReplyMe too! I am loving the strike scoring, now if we could get a descent strike rotation I'd be happy... I've played every night since dawning for atleast 3 hours each night up to 8 hours and I have literally played the Nexus 2 times and the omnigul strike 3 or 4 times... They need to fix something there because it's the same strikes over and over again and that part of it gets old quick! Other then that I've been having fun with it... I will say though, the arc burn and grenade cool down modifier def made it more fun then it would be with no burn! I had so much fun all week running my storm caller and supercell

It's pretty fun. I'm playing PVE again which is a nice change of pace but mainly for the icebreaker. The SRL is fun but once again stupid there's no motivation to get 1st place just like regular crucible
-
Totally agreed
-
2 RepliesI kind of wish the end game reward screen would show your individual score and then the team score though, without going to the next page! That would add a little competitive aide to challange your buddies
-
Agree!

Agreed. Strike scoring was a great idea. This, along with SRL has made the Dawning my favorite seasonal um event thingy so far
-
Totally agree! As a year one guardian this game has come a long way and look forward to the future of this game! Strike scoring is a great step in the right direction for us who enjoy the strikes. Thanks Bungie!
-
Agreed, well done guys.
-
A great solution to running through half the strikes. You have a reason to kill everything now. They should have added this long ago.
-
1 ReplyIts a great add to the game and yet such a simple idea. I hope to see a greater variety of medals or more medals in general in the future!

totally agree

6 RepliesYep I love it. One criticism I have is that it sorta takes away the teamwork.
-
Aye, strikes are properly fun again. Nicely done folks.
