Cant upgrade 385 boots/chest plate. FactionpP.=suck
I can't find a hoard chest for boots or chest plate. I am 391 everything else. Archon forge won't drop either above 385. Bungie hates me but I am still trying. Raiding under 390 is so terrible on hard mode. I am just stuck. ¿???????help please
Faction Packages are useless for me the past three don't give boots or chest just worse light level gear than what I have on....😥

in all honestly though I didn't bother with hoard chests becuase of the inconsistency of skeleton key drops. TBH I would say grind archon forge to get your artifact and class item/ghost up to the max possible light you can becuase that's what archon forge is most useful now. apart from that make sure you are running the nightfalls and if you can running the raid on all 3 characters is helpful because gradually your drops will push your other characters light up as well and it kind of builds from there. really aside from that use 3 of coins if your into that stuff and maybe try running the weekly crucible quest which I have had some good drops from. Aside from that really your doing all the right things already to increase your light level but obviously the raid is the quickest route there or at least it was for me but if your struggling then try some other options :).

1 Replybest advice is to run the normal raid to get the boots and chest plate at 385, upgrade them with faction packages to 390 this will give you the perks that will help you alot in the hard raid.. My first clear of hard mode was at 384 with my team all under 390. team work, communication and haveing the right perk set up are important when you are under light.

1 ReplyEdited by Dude_Flash: 10/31/2016 6:59:13 PMBungie made it ridiculously easy ( unfortunately ) to lvl up..... if your not getting into the raid and don't have a group of friends to run with, the solo route is easy if your willing to grind it a little - - play crucible, pop 3 of coins at EVERY match, legendary crucible rewards will drop above your current light lvl AND chance of dropping exotic engram. be sure you are at MAX LIGHT when playing... no matter what the load out - MAX LIGHT during these events is the key. - once you have regular gear leveled close your max light - go back to archon forge and grind that for the ghost, artifact and class item. rinse and repeat..... you can achieve 400 without stepping in the raid

Try speedrunning the elders challenge using 3oC between each round me and the brother in law do this regularly and seem to have much better luck with exotic engrams dropping from said activity rather than strikes we dont worry about the modifiers or scorecard just kill those bosses and as an added bonus we seem to get plenty of those dregs promise and lord of wolves which are great for sharding !!

6 RepliesIf they could drop higher than 385 and 390 the game would be too easy. You should be thankful it's not as difficult as year 1 so if I were you I would quit complaining.

8 RepliesThere are no skeleton key chests that will award boots or chest armor. Exotic engrams can award them up to 400 light. Trials of Osiris, HM raid, Iron Banner can award them up to 400 light. Faction packages can also award them, up to 390 light.
