Man, I was used to buying $40, $50, $60 games that I would play for just 3 months. I now have been playing Destiny for almost 1,5 years and there is another update coming. So, I for one am not complaining at all

PoE made the most story sense to bring up. Raids didnt, because the story wouldn't fit. Get over it guys.

Are you -blam!-ed until the next week? Or can you buy a new scorecard?

[b][u]STREAM SUMMARY:[/u][/b] Storywise, Oryx has been defeated, and a new powerful Taken enemy called Malok is trying to claim his throne. Variks has also managed to imprison Taken in the Prison of Elders, because the writers don't even care anymore. Winter's Run (Archon Priest) strike being updated, will appear in heroic strike playlist with new strike-exclusive gear, Archon Priest himself is Taken now New max light level 335, new gear, shaders (including Taken shader) and emblems (including Prison of Elders II which drops from PoE challenge mode). New questlines include "Return to the Prison", "At the Gates" which includes a new mission on the Dreadnaught called "Pretender to the Throne", and new PS exclusive Petra quest called "Fight Fire with Fire". New strike called Blighted Chalice with a powerful Taken prince called Malok as the boss. The strike appears to take place in the Shrine of Oryx. Will presumably drop the Hood of Malok. New level 41 (light 260) PoE with matchmaking, as well as level 42 (light 320) challenge arenas with no matchmaking. No more treasure rooms mean no more keys. Challenge mode has three rounds which feature some of the 8 bosses. Bosses shown off include the Overmind Minotaur with the ability to create detainment fields, a new boss called Syrok, who's a Taken Knight whose fire has a large AoE and lasts a long time, and the Pilot Servitor, who can now teleport and shoot spider mines. According to Bungie's summary, Heroic strikes, Nightfall strikes, Court of Oryx, Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris and King's Fall have all been updated in light level. King's Fall normal mode drops are now up to 320, while hard mode drops are up to 330. Court of Oryx can drop artefacts up to 335. Rewards and progression will be detailed next week, and sandbox changes, the crucible and live updates will be detailed the week after that.

This just proves that Bungie has no idea what the player base wants. No one wanted a reskin poe. Everyone was begging for a new raid. Bungie could release "raid packs" which include 3 raids for $60 and they would sell like hot cakes, guaranteed. Furthermore, people are sick of the exclusive content bullshit. If this is gonna keep going the entire life of the game, it's going to piss off a lot of xbox players. We paid the same amount for the same content. We don't deserve to constantly get dicked over and have the content be irrelevant by the time we get it.

The update itself is actually bigger than House of Wolves and its free, whilst I think it will only entertain people who have left for maybe a couple of weeks its still something. All Bungie Eggs will be in one basket now "Destiny 2" and I don't blame them. Destiny Gave me 1900+ Hours of Fun I would rather just let things lie and ensure Destiny 2 is awesome than they waste resources on these little tit bits. The platform that Destiny is built on makes it very difficult to make changes which a lot of people don't appreciate.

They still think we have a ton of friends playing this game to justify not adding matchmaking? Good joke. More reskins, more reskins, more reskins. If they were just going to reskin everything and just implement new damage scales, then VoG/CE should have been brought up. I mean it took them 7 months for this little stuff? And here Bungie is still giving PS4 exclusive shit. I mean PC games on console get stuff before console, but that is only because they have to get permission from Sony and Microsoft before they implement the new developed content. For example, Warframe content is about 1 month behind on console compared to PC. In Bungie's case Xbox One is 1 FULL YEAR behind PS4. This is inexcusable especially this late in the game.

I'm loving salt and sanctuary. It's the best 17.99 game I've ever played.

It's not free because it's not dlc. An update for a game is always free. It is just up to the creators what to add in the updates.

Isn't Malok who the Grasp of Malok is named after? Didn't he try to go against Oryx. Guess that didn't turn out well considering he got turned into a taken.

I'm a bit curious about one thing. When they were first discussing new POE they said you can go to the treasure room as much as you want, but later on during the POE gameplay Deej kind of off topic just mentioned "We're letting you dive down in the treasure room once a week..." while he was just randomly talking. So which is it, because they said in the 42 mode there is no treasure room...

Could someone explain, how the Taken can do something with the Archon Priest? I thought at least vanilla bosses were defeated long before Oryx came. The holes in the story is just weird, or is it explained with.... um.... respawn?

Initial PoE strat: run thru first two bosses as fast as possible to get to that 3x pts modifier, in 3rd room take time to clear adds with bonus methods, taking boss down by increments for each wave, clear before neg pts mod kicks in. By 4th room, repeat. I wonder if wiping right after boss kill will still reset pts...probably (better if it does, would rather not have the cheese). I assume the pts mod caps at 4x or 360 per kill since I believe they said 4 bosses per week.
