So let's get a discussion started. As we all know or don't, Bungie and Activision have stated that we are getting a fourth expansion in 2016. What are you thoughts and feelings on the up coming expansion? Do you have any info on what it will be based on?? Will it finally solve the issue of the Darkness and how creepy the Speaker is?? What raid do you think they will reveal?? Also will be stuck at 320 max light or will that increase?? Also will it be free or will be another chunk of Change that we will have to poor into the Destiny universe.
Destiny 2
Do we need a second game or should we just have DLC Content? What happened to the 9 Year plan for Destiny? Why the second game so soon? Any ideas on plot and characters?? Are you excited or over it?? Has Bungie really parted ways with Activision? Will it be based in the Sol system or extend to greater parts of the Galaxy??
So that's about it let's get it started I'm interested in seeing your responses.
See You Star Side.

Probably just be swarms of future dlc where it will be a new planet or ship for every seasons. A lot of companies are abandoning good story and content for cheap and easy "EA-Sports" online features. Halo 5 is a good example

5 RepliesEdited by Doctor Electric: 3/8/2016 11:42:02 PMTheir plan for destiny was supposed to be like a 10 year plan for a new franchise, not just one game alone. I am excited, and very nervous, to see how Bungie plans to expand on the goods and the bads of Destiny in Destiny 2

1 ReplyThe big update in the spring will give us more light cap. Then in the fall when the new content expansion drops we'll probably get another increase, but I don't expect the expansion at the end of the year to be any bigger or better than ttk. Just with bungies record I don't get excited.

2 RepliesHaving a ten year plan doesn't mean they aren't going to make sequels and expand upon that game. Destiny 2 and 3 where always a part of that ten year plan... Just saying As for the expansion, hopefully it's good, because everyone I know including myself is on the division. And it's a lot of fun. I'll admit this, the instant the DLC for destiny drops, I'm coming back. I'm also going to continue to do trials and banner of course. Still, they need to keep us more engaged. As for destiny 2. It needs to be everything and then some of what the original destiny was supposed to be. Drop in and out of co op seamlessly, open world environment, a deep and immersive story. Destiny 2 is going to be my last chance for bungie, I've been supporting them thus far because I believe they are improving and wanting to get to what they originally wanted. Destiny 2 needs to blow ALL of year 1 away PERIOD year one was a mash of pieced together content. If destiny 2 is remotely similar in quality to vanilla. It's going back to game stop. I won't support the game after that.

As an update on this thread and I'm sure I'm going to get back lash on this. I'm starting to see another big flaw in this game is us. Yeah Bungie and Activision have done a lot of questionable things, but the level of disrespect a small number of this community show's is ridiculous, and I can see why it can turn people off. I know that people are looking for certain things, and yeah some people can't simply participate because of their light level or their gear. However we put them down or call them names for it which is stupid. Cheating the game so it's not balanced, the best case is Trials the amount of lagging is ridiculous in all honesty. How is that fair or fun if you can't even land a registered shot because people can't win without cheating. Yes that happens everywhere but if we want to see this game be the best it can be we need to be the best we can be as well. Tell me what you think to.

1 ReplyI assume that Destiny 2 would be a totally new game and everybody starts from zero. Worst case is that Sony buys Bungie , making Destiny totally a PS4 game.

I personally would rather see just one main game with multiple expansions over the years BUT I can also see why this isn't really a possibility. Something like WOW that does just that can have a business plan such as that because of the player base. Now consider a game like destiny that still has a large player base but not WOW big, they would lose so much money just releasing expansions ... Unless they charged full game price. The fact that destiny HAS to go down the route of releasing 2-3 full games along the time line sadly means we will always have this dry spell for long periods. It's abit of a lose lose situation for us and for them in the long run. The only way I could see a way around it is expanding the studio and constantly have teams creating (like ubisoft but on a smaller scale).

1 ReplyWell, if they fix the "story" issues, separate PVE mechanics from PVP, add something like seasons (bounties, missions, events, gear sets), expand the scanning feature while integrating the Grimoire into the game oh and add transmogrification then I'd totally be down for another adventure but it won't happen cause...money.
-
1 ReplyIn both cases for me it needs regular new gear to chase after. New strikes / missions are fine, but even if they added 10x more missions / strikes / raids I would still end up relaying the same stuff a lot. So what's the difference between 3 raids and 30? Ultimately nothing. Hunting new and better gear though is what drives how I spend my time playing destiny (I play for fun first and foremost, obviously). So keeping gear fresh and interesting is key for me. I actually think they did a pretty good job of that in TTK, so more of that would work for me. Just not the 6 month wait with promises about promising and update.

5 RepliesI have high hopes for destiny 2. But this time round I'm holding lower expectations so that the game will exceed them.
-
3 RepliesD2 is going to be an expansion
-
1 ReplyHere is a thought, NOT BUYING IT.
-
3 RepliesThey're liars, I don't think there will be a 9 year plan.
-
1 ReplyI just hope D2 has a more forgiving engine, they need something that can have content made and added easily, that would be the key to success.
-
1 ReplyBetter be good
-
5 RepliesThey're going to hype it up to get the players money. Once they've got your $, €, or £ why would they give a shit what you think? TTK was their last chance for me. If the expansion is for sale, or when Destiny 2 comes out, they will not be getting anymore of my $ until reviews are out. The grind is BS, it should not take one level increase to the next to reach max level. HoW had it right. One piece of gear and or weapon per week, with the chance for a second pulse etheric light to level your favorite gear up. There has never been more gear and weapon diversity than in the HoW period.

2 RepliesNot the damn Forbes dude again... Ppl see "Forbes" as the source and think that this guy must be some sort of authority on destiny but really he's just a whiny dumbass who writes clickbaity articles. Idc if this particular article is fine (haven't even read it) but I've see enough of his stuff to not give a shìt about anything he says. Just ignore him. He wants attention. Don't give it to him.

1 ReplyThey already stated that we're getting a higher light level than 320 even before the next expansion. Read the update notes!
-
1 ReplyHonestly I hope destiny 2 has no light level
-
1 ReplyI prefer XP based leveling. But, make it significant XP to get to each level. My guess would be around 50K per level. I love The Division level system.
-
3 RepliesI really hope you can't bring old characters to the new game. As for the new game itself, I'm pumped af for it. Idc what people say about destiny I love this game and I'm sure I'll love the next. I'm stoked for the 4th expansion mainly because after the new director came in things got better (guaranteed 320 shells as repayment for broken drops, twitch streams, etc.) The majority of the people who complain about bungie being liars and scoundrels have obviously never played any Halo not made by 343. The games where amazing, bungie knew what they were doing. Oh and I find it no coincidence that as soon as Activision got involved (the known money whores) that we started to pay. The expansions where initially free before Activision got ahold of them
-
8 RepliesMy hope You can't bring your characters over. It's a new game, new experience, new story and I feel as though it'll be less fun if people are 3/4 of the way to max level and beating begging R bosses with Black Spindle. Idk that's just my personal opinion

Both lazy companies. It could be, but they don't give a damn about their game to care enough to make it enjoyable. 320 was already confirmed it will be raised... Like Smith said in planet destiny podcast that raids arnt guaranteed and ppl shouldn't be expecting them in the future. And they need to fix their current game with the haul of problems first before they half ass it and make another half assed game pll with buy and be disappointed.

7 RepliesEdited by Valkalla: 3/9/2016 6:21:50 PMLight level is receiving a significant increase this spring before the expansion later this year. With that spring update, which is not the expansion, we will be getting PVE content focused on "replayability" and new weapons/gear. Just read the second part of your post... Not sure if you're a troll or you don't follow this game at all.
