Mida vs hung jury
I am working on purchasing either of these scouts. I am not opposed to using my exotic slot on the primary weapons. I'm simply looking for opinions from those who have used both guns. Thanks.
Edit: so I've had a chance to use both mida and hung jury and I'll have to say I miss suros dis-47. If I get another one with auto fire I'm keeping it forever.

Play trials? Mida, inward lamp, and last word. That's it for primary weapons.

Mida for agility when ADSed. But vendor's Hung Jury for the Firefly. I'm enjoying playing with Boolean, Cocytus, and other Scouts, but mostly on my Agility-Stalker.

1 ReplyIf you have to go with 1 it would definitely be the Mida. It's awesome for pvp, with the speed boost, 3rd eye, 4 shot kill, pretty legit fire rate. Now for pve it has it also has it's benefits.. again the speed boost is nice, 3rd eye not as effective, but it does have hidden high caliber rounds which come in handy quite often surprisingly, especially the raid. Last I would have to say field scout and overall size of the clip is very useful

i wish people stop comparing mida to legendary scout rifles... lacedog...not sure how new you are to the game...but exotics have extra perks that legendary weapons do not have. comparing the mida to the hung jury isnt fair...because mida has hidden perks. Hung Jury is indeed still one of the best legendary scout rifles you can get though. So get both.

Went to check out dead orbit to see if I could get anything good from leveling it up. Hung jury dropped for me. The purchased one still has better perks so I may buy it anyway. But I plan on playing with the hj I have and I'll see if I like it. Again thanks for all of the advice. Edit: or mida and a sword in pvp and hj and sga in pve. Donezo.

Thanks folks for the opinions. I think I'll go with mida just because. I'm a fan of quick and medium instead of slow and heavy. Both are still intriguing. Thanks again.

I liked Mida when I used it in Y1, haven't used it in Y2. Have been using Last Extremity though and I love it. But of those two, Mida for PVP at least

Get both use mida until you need an exotic special or heavy then switch to hung jury. That's what I do. Both are great.

MIDA is better other than the exotic slot issue. But factoring that in - I use Hung Jury much more often.

Vision of Confluence from VoG or Fang of Ir Yüt from Crota's End are great scout rifles.

It depends. They're both beastly. If you want to run an exotic in a different slot than primary, hung jury. It would be good to have both.

Hung jury is a great legendary, solid 8/10 Mida is high-mid tier at things, mainly dps in crucible, and trials as the high damage per hit vendor hung jury is good for strikes, raids, and low stakes pvp- 6v6 playlists as the smaller gametypes are dominated be TLW and shotguns, which are effective in ranges the HJ is not

Mida is great as well, but with it taking up your exotic slot you'll be limited on your loadout options. But if you've got the marks for one now, you can buy both this weekend. Completing easy trials Bounties on 3 characters will give you 150 marks to buy the other one. Edit: by buying I'm assuming you've got year 1 Mida unlocked

1 ReplyThe Hung Jury is good for PvE. The Mida is great for all situations. 3rd eye, agility while aiming and staggers everything from guardians to Taniks! And yes I have both at 320!

I prefer the vendor hj with higher impact, range, and stability. You can also change the sites/scope depending on the map you are playing on. For pvp you can switch from firefly to underdog as well. I have the Dead Orbit gauntlets with scout rifle loader, so the reload speed is the same as mida. With this said though, you will not know which you prefer until you try both. I ended up leaving my mida in the vault in year 1 after I got vision of confluence.

1 ReplyThe vendor Hung Jury is a top 3 weapon in the game for PvE and not bad in PvP. MIDA is an extremely average weapon that is good in nearly every situation but not awesome, and is possibly great in PvP if you can abuse it's speed boost.
