Edit ; A lot of people saying that they used VoC over Fatebringer, VoC was a great gun but sorry explosive rounds, firefly and Arc burn on the same gun was ridiculous and will never happen again so I have to stick to this load out.
This whole thing has made me a bit sad because Destiny as a whole just doesn't feel anywhere near as awesome or mesmerising as it did back then, great guns, great raids and great times! I can't even get a raid party together these day's.
Edit 2; Everyone saying that Fatebringer was used wrong by equipping explosive rounds and firefly are wrong, Fatebringer really came into its own during the Dark Below imo. Hive have huge heads and critical hits were ridiculously easy to hit, pre Dark Below then I can see people's point.
The whole reason Fatebringer was amazing was because you could combine those perks.

3 RepliesThat was the prime of destiny for me. And field scout was so much better than explosive rounds because the explosive damage didn't activate firefly and outlaw more than half of the time.

I went back to that exact load out to level my 2 alts on the weekend. They still hold up surprisingly well. Gally melts taken champions.

1 ReplyPeople are saying take off explosive rounds because it there was a glitch with the gun that made you do far less damage with that option selected. IDK if it's still broken but if you looked at damage numbers back then you'd see the difference. 1505 Crit without explosive rounds. 732 + 232 for explosive rounds. not worth it.

When I first saw my friends doing crota I jumped in and the screen showed crota disappearing and I got black hammer and I was screaming my head off knowing I got the best sniper. Then I saw a post on forums for Templar cp I jumped in and got the fatebringer. The very same nf I got the gjallerhorn.

Look at my warlock. I usually use field scout on FB. Was trying SPS in Crucible. But, my Supremacy though? Field Scout, Surplus, and Mulligan? And back before FS nerf it had 6 rounds. This was my go to Special Weapon for PvE. Period. During Crota I always had full ammo for Knight Patrol.

I despise using hand canons in Destiny. Used fatebringer only a handful of times. Vision and Fang were my go-to primaries. But the rest I'd agree with. Ah. I miss those days of the good primary elementals :<
