Best pulse rifle currently?
Just would like to know which one I should be on the look out for, I've heard good things about apple of discord and the FWC pulse.
Any advice would be appreciated

OK well I really appreciate all the info guys, as it stands right now my only 2 real options I can get right away are the villany or apple of discord, i have a hawksaw and it just didn't feel right
I'll definitely keep and try out all the others you guys have said when and if I get them
A lot more replies than I had expected, once again thanks for all the opinions, I went ahead and got the villany for now
UPDATE: so I ended up buying the villany from FWC, and I must say its very impressive!! Haven't had any other drops as far as pulse rifles go, been on the look out for spare change
And for all of you that say red death well sad story, I'm a beta player and have never had one lol and am always out of town when xur has sold it or just didn't get on and realize

Edited by Kovathos: 10/18/2015 6:14:47 PMFor an exotic? In pve, bad juju unless you need the health regeneration from red death. Non exotics? Whatever has stability and fast reloading I think. Fast reloading is more for pve. Damage increasing perks are nice but not necessary so long as the weapon is stable and can hit head shots with bursts easily enough. High impact, high stability is most ideal I think over anything else for a pulse rifle. You want that burst to be tight, and hit as hard as possible. My personal favourite legendary at the moment is Apple of discord. 4 round burst, body shots temporarily increase precision damage, which is great with a 4 round burst, I can aim for the upper chest and it recoils up into the head for precision damage. kills increase reload speed and it has increased stability.

To label anything the best means the masses will consider it a must-have, everyone will use it, people will cry, it will be nerfed. So, there is no best. They are all equal, and distinguishable by style alone. Yep. Equal pulsy no-harm no-foul crucible goodness. Nothing to see here. Move along.

I have a Hawksaw with max stability and lots of target acquisition. Basically head shots for days with a laser beam. Lots of fun!
