The Save Year One Campaign
Let's show Bungie that we WANT to have our year one weapons.
Edit: Our Gally taken away. Our Hopscotch taken away. Now, I know why it's called The Taken King.

Edit 4: People should play how they want to play and define fun for themselves. We are NOT against new weapons. We just want a choice and have our hard work respected.
Edit 5: It's always interesting to see what people who are against choice have to say. It's like they sit in a room and plot how they will try to kill this movement.
Edit 6: The censoring of us by "Mentors" and Xur news for tomorrow. I see them!
Edit 7: Cozmo has said he talked to the devs about it. I can't find his post, but know that he's the Community Manager we need. We must keep the pressure going!

Bump. I like the new stuff, but it would be nice to have a year 2 Symbiote.

I do like some of the new gear, the ability to switch perks on legendary and exotic gear is good but I fell there is still a place for year one gear, especially the raid gear and exotics. As far as most of the regular legendary gear, the TTK is better. So far, I'm finding that the year 2 exotic versions of year one gear are lesser versions that just are a step below making them equal to TTK legendary gear but not better. I would like to see infusion added to legendary raid, faction gear(including Queen's Wrath) and Iron Banner/ToO gear and year one exotics.

This is a good decision as Bungie doesn't want the community to continuously use the same weapons for both PVP and PVE. Imagine if fatebringer and VOC got buffed, what weapon would players use for every PVE event and imagine if the messenger and hopscotch what weapon do you think people would use for almost all PVP matches?

Bungie, don't let the great ideas that your community, your player base, has been giving you. The Taken King was a good step, but you dropped too much stuff with it. Time for a good look at year one, ttk launch, and all the priceless feedback. Don't worry, if you have trouble deciding what to do, you could just ask us. Could you imagine a company sitting down and asking it's customers what they want!?! Oh right, most successful companies pay lots of money to do just that. Where do we send the bill? Fix a few things, will call it even.

I'm sad that they are getting but why not revamp them and how we get them maybe add taken to the vog and Crotas end and taken kingify the gear in the raids

3 RepliesBungie is making a HUGE mistake by leaving exotics behind, they are supposed to progress with us. Dumping them in the trash is lazy, and personally I think you need to re evaluate that philosophy I remember the first time xur sold icebreaker and I had 16 strange coins and I was about to give up but I decided to create a titan to play that one mission where you get a strange coin from the cryptarch and I was so happy I did that on Saturday night and purchased my first ever exotic. Don't take that away from me I don't care if some exotics don't have a year 2 version but what I do care about is if they have year 2 attack value. There's a difference between being forced to use new things and having the option to use new things, and I don't think you understand that Bungie. EDIT: For the people who still aren't getting why this is a bad idea on bungies part, watch the video that I just posted the link to in the comments. The video is by KackisHD and it further reinforced my points. Even deej himself said exotics are never supposed to become obsolete and they should always carry on with us.

1 ReplyI want the Y1 weapons and the Y2 weapons. Give us the choice to use what we want. I paid for all the Y1 content. Since this is being "Taken" Kinged away, should't I get at least a partial refund of that $100. Oh I don't know, say $40. No, instead I would need to pay $40 so that the previous content I paid for is "Taken" Kinged away.

4 RepliesI understand wanting to keep certain things, but as we all know Bungie refuses to expand vault space that will allow this. Im not talking just this year, im talking about the years to come. Part of me feels like ok i get it, you need to gear up for the next thing so ill have to drop somethings. I also know this is not the only game that has done this. Then there is the other part that wants to be able to ascend certain things but i know ill get bored of it and will adventually get rid of it anyways as time goes on. So whats the point of holding on to stuff if im just going to get rid of it. So here comes you guys saying what ever the reason it is why you want to keep everything. The truth is, its actually not reasonable knowing no game that i know of, you keeped everything knowing how much loot there will be over a 10 year period.

Agreed.. The reason they are removing year one weapons is because they are so good that we would blow through TTK content in 20 minutes..if we use the new crappy weapons it will take us 1-2 hours.. Very sad.....
