5.) Lake Assal – Djibouti
Outside the frozen Antarctica, one of the saltiest lake is Lake Assal, a crater lake located in Djibouti. The lake lies 155 m below sea level making it the lowest point on land in Africa and the second lowest land depression on Earth next to the Dead Sea. It has 34.8% salt concentration which is 1.1% higher than the Dead Sea.
4.) Garabogazkol Aylagy – Turkmenistan
The Garabogazkol Aylagy is a very salty bay whose name means ‘mighty strait lagoon’ located in Turkmenistan. It has a salinity of about 35% while Caspian Sea has only 1.2%.
3.) Lake Vanda – Antarctica
Another very salty lake found in Antarctica is Lake Vanda. This 5 km long and 69 m deep lake is just 9 km away from Don Juan Pond. The deeper waters of the lake don’t mix with the shallower waters and no fish species live on this peculiar lake.
2.) Don Juan Pond – Antarctica
Lakes found in Antarctica are said to be the saltiest in the world and Don Juan Pond is one of these lakes. It is a small and very shallow hypersaline lake located in Victoria Land. This lake is regarded as the “saltiest body of water on earth” with a salinity level of over 40%. It’s 18 times the ocean’s salinity and has greater salinity than the Dead Sea and Lake Assal. In fact, the lake has no ice cover and doesn’t freeze even in winter indicating a high degree of salinity. It is also called Lake Don Juan.
1.) Bungie.net Destiny Forums - Internet
There are a lot of websites around the internet with high levels of salinity, although not directly related to bodies of water in any way. Originally the Destiny forums was a moderately salty area, with a salt concentration of around 20%. In mid-August 2015, on Friday the 14th at 2 AM PST, the salt concentration of the Destiny forums started rising dramatically to around 35%. The users of the website blamed the shocking sale of Gjallarhorn from Xûr for the exponential increase of saltiness. Only 1 hour later after the Agent's arrival to the Tower , the salt concentration levels of the Destiny Forums had surged to around 70% as the news spread like a wildfire in the community. This is an increase of roughly 100%, making it the saltiest place on Earth currently. If the Destiny Forums was an ocean, even an Elephant wouldn't be able to touch the bottom of it due to the high levels of saltiness.
Ninja Edit
Hello OP (or anyone who has decided to open the spoiler and read all of this).
I'm one of the Bungie.Net Ninjas. We may have met before, we may have interacted, you might have heard of us, or you may have no clue as to who we are and what we do. Well, this little note is to explain some of the things we do. One of the major roles we play is to handle the reports that come in whenever a member clicks on the "Report" button, to let us know that there is a post, a topic or a user that either doesn't understand or isn't following the rules that we all agreed to follow when we joined. But that's not the Ninja function that brought on this note.
The reason I am writing this is because I have retagged your thread. Bungie.Net uses hashtags to designate their major forums and to help keep things organized. Your OP (original post) was opened, created or given a hashtag that well, wasn't the best choice. It could have been that you were browsing through the various forum/tags that are available on the site or app, and clicked on "New Topic" while in a forum that didn't "match up" with the subject matter of your OP. Or, you may have thought "this belongs here", when unfortunately, it doesn't.
That's another role of the Bungie.Net Ninjas. We not only try to keep things fun, pleasant and welcoming here by removing rule-breakers, but we also want EVERY good topic to have the best chance to survive, thrive, find the right audience, and get lots of on-topic replies. And so, I have retagged your topic to move it to the forum where it has the best chance of doing that.
I give you my word that I have not altered a single letter or character of your Original Post, just placed this message below it and set the tag to better describe your topic. You may notice that you are unable to edit this post anymore. That is a part of the system, and I apologize for any inconvenience that it may have caused. I've not replied or commented on your OP, since this message would most likely be "off-topic" to your thread and when members see a Ninja or Mentor (who are volunteers from the community) or even a Bungie employee post, they tend to go a little crazy and the disruption to the thread becomes a distraction. I don't want that to happen to your thread. I want it to be in the BEST place possible, to be seen by the largest audience who is looking for this sort of topic, I want it to take root, get replies, grow strong and make these forums a better place.
If you have any questions, you should feel free to PM me. My name is now in the upper right corner of your OP where it says "edited by".
Thanks for your patience, thanks for being a part of this community, thanks for taking the time to read all of this (I hid it in a spoiler so that anyone who clicked couldn't complain about "too long, didn't read"), and thank you in advance for creating your future topics with the forum/tag location in mind.

1 ReplyThe Racist Tree, By Alexander Blechman Once upon a time there was a Racist Tree. Seriously, you are going to hate this tree. High on a hill overlooking the town, the Racist Tree grew where the grass was half clover. Children would visit during the sunlit hours and ask for apples, and the Racist Tree would shake its branches and drop the delicious red fruit that gleamed without being polished. The children ate many of the Racist Tree's apples and played games under the shade of its racist branches. One day the children brought Sam, a boy who had just moved to town, to play around the Racist Tree. "Let Sam have an apple," asked a little girl. "I don't think so. He's black," said the tree. This shocked the children and they spoke to the tree angrily, but it would not shake it's branches to give Sam an apple, and it called him a -blam!-. "I can't believe the Racist Tree is such a racist," said one child. The children momentarily reflected that perhaps this kind of behavior was how the Racist Tree got its name. It was decided that if the tree was going to deny apples to Sam then nobody would take its apples. The children stopped visiting the Racist Tree. The Racist Tree grew quite lonely. After many solitary weeks it saw a child flying a kite nearby across the clover field. "Can I offer you some apples?" asked the tree eagerly. "-blam!- off, you goddamn -godwinslaw!-," said the child. The Racist Tree was upset, because while it was very racist, it did not personally subscribe to Hitler's fascist ideology. The Racist Tree decided that it would have to give apples to black children, not because it was tolerant, but because otherwise it would face ostracism from white children. And so, social progress was made.
