Was nerfing the ghallerhorn a good idea?
The Ghallerhorn was ok as it was they should have just left it alone nerfing it was stupid. Half of my friends that i play with on a daily basis still dont have one and they dont complain nor do i because they still have alternative weapons either way that they do just as good with as i do with the ghallerhorn.

I mean, probably, honestly. Anything that requires one specific weapon to win was a terrible setup anyway. Bungie is taking away a crutch and people are confusing it for a leg.

1 ReplyEveryone says I wouldn't know because I don't have a gjally but honestly in sick of getting kicked out of games because i don't have one. When the community abuses weapons like this the devs are going to nerf it. Destiny was made to be a challenge that you have to work together to beat with so many people only accepting players who had a gjally I could barley find games to do Vog or crota and I've been kicked from tons of skolas games because I don't have one. This nerf is much needed. Next time don't complain about weapons being to powerful or if you don't complain don't abuse the power they have or you'll ruin every other weapon for us too.

i Own a gjally, and personally it was becoming a crutch for players who couldnt do something, an easy way out, which it shouldnt be. PvE or not, the nerf is not a major one, the wolf pack rounds were reduced a bit....velocity, blast radius, damage from rocket is still there. Regardless, if you got enough theyll still melt bosses. not like they will be irrelevant.

If kids being exclusive of who they play with was a problem then maybe mommy and daddy shouldn't have been such lazy -blam!-s and actually set up play dates once in a while? Antisocial fvcks.

Pretty sure they did it because people were making it mandatory to have to get into a fire team and being they have left us to the wolves (pun intended) when it comes to matchmaking nerfing Gally was far easier to implement than matchmaking.

1 ReplyIt was a good idea because as they showed it was the weapon that a good portion of people used because it was too much damage (actually double). So in short some people will call this in pve what they called thorn in pvp, a crutch. That aside we actually don't know to what degree it's being nerfed, and I believe that after the suros bungie has learned; in short, your beloved g horn may be safe. I also want to go on a tangent and commend bungie for their ballsyness.

In all honesty yes but no. Yes cuz people are seriously being that much of a dick to say u cant join cuz u dont have. No cuz i personally use it on the tougher yellow bars that are surrounded by enemies hard to focus on the big fish when baby fish swarming u.

1 ReplyThe problem I have with this is I believe the other exotics should have been brought up to Gjally's level, not the other way around. Every other heavy is not worth the exotic slot when you have amazing primaries and specials you'll be using many times more often. The ammo limitation means that in order for an exotic heavy to earn its slot it has to pull way more weight than its legendary counterparts.

It's not that Nerfing it should have been needed, it's the part that Bungie's ridiculous Rng system allows ppl to never even get one throughout the entire time they have been playing destiny... Maybe even from the beginning, but they are given the same weapons or other exotics multiple times over. That's the more annoying part, if you've been given a gun on that certain character then you wouldn't need to get it again, for example a system where it understands you have gotten that item already, and allow you to earn new items, lets be honest who wants to fall behind and not get good items because the systems tells you that everything's grouped up and you get what you get even if you already have it.... That's just like Bungie's nerfing philosophy... Lets group everything together.
