Can you run relic/sword?
Curious. Personally, I can run both.

I don't run Crota anymore and so I have only done vog because it's more fun especially when I help someone learn how to use relic

Lmao my ass this many people can run both. I've generally the only one who knows how to run both in both raids. When i do lfg raids most of the raid team barely even knows how to do the basics with it.

Ran sword for the first time last night! Died twice because I thought I was running up to him too quickly but I was actually not going fast enough. On the third try I really got the hang of it and my team gave me a ton of praise. It's very fun! I suggest to other guardians that if you haven't done it, give it a try! I was so nervous at first and never wanted to do it but it wasn't bad at all. [spoiler]Make sure you're with some laid back people who don't mind taking a little time to teach you. Also, try in on normal first.[/spoiler]

Happily run both, happily give others the ability to run both. My first ever raid, I was thrown to the dogs and given the relic, after a lot of guiding and mistakes along with helpful tips from the guys who had already managed to complete VoG like a week after release, I successfully managed to make it through the Templar fight and passed Gatekeeper with flying colours. By the time Crota's end came around, I had managed to find a group and it was agreed that since I was the best with the Relic I would run sword (Might have also had something to do with me killing the swordbearer, while shouting dibs!) Took me a while, especially with no guide and a lot of trial and error, but I'm happy to say I've mastered both and will continue to run both.

1 ReplyThe first time I ran both, I was with a group that [b]forced[/b] me to do it. The more you know about the mechanics of the relic/sword, the better teammate you'll be. I'd suggest that if you haven't ran the relic/sword, next time you're with a cool group of Guardians, ask them if you can give it a shot. Be up front and say you've never done it, but you've always wanted to try it. Most of the time, they'll say yes. Watch some tutorial videos and you'll at least have the basics covered. Word of advice, don't try asking if you can do it on Hard mode. Do it on easy first. Both are fun. Give it a go!

I love running sword on crota, but when i run with friends one of my mates is shit hot so he does it, and with random everyone wants to do it so i hardly get to do it because i aint argueing with people about it incase i make a mistake lol

I love having 5 people "in the hills" on VoG Templar. Then I go down to the stage alone and run around like a madman with the shield relic.

1 ReplyI can and will run both. It infuriates me to no end to be a warlock/titan in a party with 3 or 4 hunters and I have to run sword on Crota.

Can sword normal fine, but dodgy on hard, run relic on Templar and portals before Atheon. Relic holding seems to be a dying art though, always ask and about 80% of the time nobody knows how to use the relic.
