Why do people think fate bringer is the best gun in the game?
I always laugh when people say they did the templar 100 times for fate bringer
Fate bringer is a average gun with average stats except for impact
people like to kiss that guns ass because it has explosive rounds when explosive rounds doesn't even work with the outlaw perk
The scholar and the fang have a faster TTK than fatebringer on any enemy and does better against bosses
Also my arc scholar will 1 shot all non major enemies during arc burn and it has outlaw too while fate bringer can only 1 shot smaller enemies like acolytes and thralls
face it this gun is average at best stop kissing its ass because it has explosive rounds and get an arc scholar or fang of ir yut
Edit:1 Dont even mention word of crota that gun is garbage i have a jewl of osirs in void which is bettter in every single way except rate of fire but it doesnt matter because it does so much damage

Even if your using maxed fate bringer with outlaw and field scout i will still output more damage with an already higher reload and i would be using flared magwell maxing out my reload speed

Fate bringer is a over hyped gun worshiped by the same people who worship youtubers and streamers

1 ReplySpoken like someone who has never played with the weapon....or any OTHER primary weapon with Firefly. I understand my friend, because I felt much like you did UNTIL I got Ghelion's Demise (with Firefly) from Lord Saladin several Iron Banner's ago. ...and I was SHOCKED at what a wrecking maching that scout rifle was, and I started to understand the hype around Fatebringer...and why Bungie won't allow any other hand cannon in the game to have Firefly. Fatebringer is the most powerful----and most sought-after----primary weapon in the game for PvE play because of Firefly...and that its a handcannon. 1. Firefly explosions---when you kill an enemy with it----go off with the same power as the hit points of the enemy you killed. So ONE precision kill can turn into SEVERAL additional kills if you're fighting enemies that are closely packed. 2. Being a handcannon, you can one-shot (with headshots) most of the game's enemies. So that further multiples the speed at which the weapon can kill because one trigger pull can turn into several enemy insta-kills. 3. Fatebringer does ARC damage. Hive Knights and Fallen Captains have arc shields----and conveniently----both the Fallen and Hive tend to bunch up with they fight. TLDR: Fatebringer is the real deal...and worth all the effort people put into acquiring it. It is the Ghorn of Destiny' s primary weapons.

Most primary guns: shoot one enemy in a group of many, kill said enemy and line up the next shot. Fatebringer: shoot one enemy in a group of many, take a smoke break while you watch the fireworks show. Btw, who uses explosive rounds on a fatebringer? Not knocking anyone who does... but really, why? When it comes to killing bosses, it's not hard to switch out to a different primary if the situation calls for it.

Brah... Have you ever used it in Vog? Oracle disruptor, and firefly... Excellent for most of it, and even normal pve, great when has arc burn, just a beautiful gun.

firefly all there is to it, that and arc burn plus a large magazine make it an anzing gun can clear out low level mobs like nobody's business, and ultimately that's the primary function of a weapon like this I don't know of any other primary weapons that come standard with firefly

5 RepliesFor one, no. Two, you compared Fatebringer to scout rifles, no. Three, explosive rounds sucks. What makes Fatebringer the best is Outlaw, Field Scout, and Firefly. A combination you can't get on any, ANY hand cannon. Don't even try comparing it to red hand, red hand doesn't have an element. Jewel of Osiris has some of the worst perks you can get, and it can't be rolled. You're just an idiot.

Fatebringer for Life! seriously - you're comparing a hand cannon to scout rifles? probably cause no other hand cannon stacks up. and why are you talking about explosive rounds? everybody knows to use field scout. ha. i've got a red hand IX. it doesn't hold a candle to Fatebringer. less bullets. can't take out a group of enemies at once (firefly). and no elemental. i'll never get the Jewel. i can't stand this games PVP mode. but that's ok. it doesn't have Firefly....so I'm good!
