I need a reason, a valid one, i know some people have some pretty hefty stories, i want a real and down to earth reason why I will buy it for you! Winners will be posted in 2 weeks, feel free to comment or pm me.
For those of you who think what I am doing is dumb this my reasoning and also my response to Saucehocky20 when asked why I don't give money to the community....
because i already donate money, and just like me someone else out there turns to games for a release from life and stress

Who is to determine whats better? I already donate my time and money other "better" causes and for some people video games is the best they can get, sometimes other people need help to purchase an expansion because they got the game as a gift and they themselves can't afford it. Some of you people on these forums are so toxic, it is sad and disheartening how so many of you can't see that i am doing this to help someone who is not as well of as i am. You people are selfish
Edit 3: Talking to my best friend sound like he will be helping another fellow Guardian on Xbox get TTK, So 2 on xbox will recieve and 1 on Ps.

If your idea of worst-case scenario is a middle-class white teenager who can't appreciate what's been handed to him on a silver-platter then you should re-think this.

I hurt my back at work and was screwed out of workers compensation. No sob story, just thrown into a situation where I'm not allowed to work but I've gone from two salaries to one.

3 RepliesOk, lemme start off by saying you're awesome. I'm not trying to get in your good books, you're just don v something genuinely nice. My reason isn't as good as some but here it goes: I'm trying to get a ps4. Problem is, I won't have enough money to get one until at least end of October, which is roughly two months after TTK drops, putting me way behind. If I buy TTK for my current platform (ps3 that's 10% less than needed for a ps4. So there ya go. My kik is _therarestpepe_

My brother and a friend (both are about 2k miles from where I live) are buying TTK. I have no intention of buying TTK seeing as CE and HoW both were underwhelming and the hype train detailed me. I enjoy the game, but can't see dropping more of my money for Activision. You asked for the truth so there it is.

5 RepliesSo my wife is pregnant and once the baby comes she will be quitting her job and staying home. On the money I make only the current bills will be able to be paid so I was planning on not spending the $40 to get TTK and we are already buying diapers. I'm happy with that choice but it sure would be cool if somebody spotted me the DLC!

You guys seriously shouldn't be spending spare cash on video games. If you want to "give back" to people, find a food bank or something. I'm not trying to "be a saint" like that other guy. I'm actually disgusted that you made fun of his suggestion, when in fact it's an entirely valid one.

4 RepliesWhether we wanted it or not, we stepped into a war with the Activisionians on Bungie. So let's start by taking out their commanders one by one. Pre-ordering. From what I can gather, he commands the gaming content from a Publisher outside of Destiny. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on DLC.

If I ever bought it, it would be for my friend, not for me. I have enough money to buy The Taken King if I felt like it, but it'd be cool to pick up an extra for a buddy of mine. We both love playing Destiny, we've done everything from Raids to Nightfalls to Arenas... But now I've kind of gotten out of my addiction to playing it, so I'm not as excited for new DLC as I probably should be. We've always helped each other, I got him a year membership when his expired when he didn't have enough money to pay for it, sent him Borderlands 2, lots of stuff. If anything, I'd give it to him as a token of our friendship. (Real corny, I know, lol) But yeah, that's really the only reason I'd enter something like this, knowing I myself don't have much chance of winning.

3 RepliesHey dude, I love that you're doing this since I know exactly what it can do to a person if they're not able to do much else than play games. I'd appreciate it if you took a minute to read my story. I am 30 and I have been stuck at home for the past 1,5 years taking heavy pain medication for my back. After 2 surgeries there is little else I can do but lay down and play destiny and this isn't about to change in the forseeable future. The last round of MRI scans and talks to various experts lead to no other solution than I'd had to learn to live with the pain. My income is just high enough to keep living on myself, but there is no room for extra's. For my PS + subscription / new games I pretty much depend on presents for my Bday, which isn't until late november. If you check my stats on DTR you can see that I have played Destiny for about 1900 hours now (2 deleted characters) and it would be so bad for me to not be able to play TTK. Ofcourse I get visits from friends and family every now and then, but for my daily social interactions I kinda depend on playing Destiny with my clan.

I have an xbox 360 and I purchased Ghost Edition but I think the pricing on The Taken King is terrible since people can get it for pretty much free if they are new (Collectors Edition) so I would like to get it for free as well, thats pretty much it.

I really want the dlc but unfortunately doesn't look like I'll be able to get it due to the fact my kids need food, clothes, and a roof over there heads. I just started a new job and just make enough to take care of my kids in my free time I play destiny to relax and have fun with friends
