SIGN PETITION TO NERF THORN FOR PVP. BOYCOTTING TRIALS OF OSIRIS UNTIL THE WEAPON IS NERFED
It is ridiculous that a very fun and competitive game mode is completely ruined by one single weapon. Tge Thorn NEEDS to be nerfed. A high rate of fire, 2 shot crit kill weapon? Seriously Bungie, if you havent realized that the thorn is dominating and ruining Trials of Osiris, please open your eyes. I have a countless number of friends that agree with me 100%, and the signatures in this petition will show you how we feel. I am simply counting replies to this post as signatures, so if you have a negative comment to make, thank you for the additional petition signature. Please, we dont want to have to boycott The Taken King, but it would be pointless to buy it if PVP is still ruined. Thank you everyone!
Edit: I feel the best way to adjust the thorn is by either reducing its rate of fire or its stability, or both. That would make it so that you hand cannon beasts out there would still dominate with it, but a scrub couldnt get any further with it than he can with any other weapon. If you are as good as you think you are with hand cannons, then a nerf like i suggested would in no way effect your ability to trash scrubs in Trials of Osiris. The gun shouldnt be broken, afterall, it is an exotic.

Stop complaining and just get the Thorn bounty. I have it MAX. It owns. You're just jealous, and you probably go negative most games you play. Until you get Thorn, you wouldn't want Thorn to be nerfed.

5 RepliesIt seems the Olny people complaining about it are people who don't have it. Same thing happened with the vex mythoclast. Maybe you should get it and use it a little before you complain. Destiny is to Pvp oriented anyway thorn is only good in Pvp anyway nerf it now and the people who use it in pve will be hurt. Why take away the reason it's exotic. FYI hawk moon also does two shot crit it's all in the player

5 RepliesI'm getting tired of people complaining about the thorn. Surprise surprise: I use it. In order for their to be a 2 shot kill. The person would have to land 2 headshots and wait a few additional seconds for the burn to do its thing inorder to drop them. If someone is skilled enough to shoot 2 consecutive head shots on a running target from a decent distance then there good enough to do it with ANY another weapon. It's time to kill is decent, nothing spectacular. Other hand cannons have faster fire rates. Other hand cannons have faster time to kill. Other hand cannons can also drop someone in 2 shots. Other hand cannons do more damage. Some pulse rifles drop people in 2 shots A sniper with luck in the chamber and/or final round can drop you in 1 shot anywhere on the body The list goes on... People who are skilled with thorn will just use LW or hawkmoon or another weapon to perfect and you'll just end up Bitching about that.

1 ReplyMy fireteam went 9-0 today, i used tlw, my mates used red death. Went up against a few thorn users but if u mind your distancing u can beat it. Example, if u know they're using thorn and you have hard light, ur only option is closing the distance for a close range engagement. Tlw is best at close range against thorn but can hold its own at mid range, but is at a disadvantage when popping in and out of cover due to thorns lingering dmg. I personally don't think it needs a nerf but it is over used. All the hard looking dark stuff whether it be weapons, armor or characters will always be over played.
