Weekly update TTK 6/24/15
So the weekly update just came out about the TTK pricing and Luke Smiths apology about "throwing money at the screen" for those new emotes.
You all can read it yourselves.
Basically they are sorry and if we already own Destiny vanilla, HoW, DarkB and want Taken King we can just buy it .....and
IF we want those new collectors edition 3 emotes, 3 shaders, 3 exotic class items .....

2 RepliesActivision probably forced hem to make the price that high anyways, don't blame bungie. Also they're almost purely cosmetic items that have no effect on gameplay (xp boost is a fancy way of saying "pay more to be finished sooner so you can play and enjoy less" so I don't know why everyone from day one wants that so bad), and it's pretty much just like how COD sells gun skins for like $3-4 a piece, just don't buy it unless you really want to, that's all there really is to it.

the way i see it.... its like the original pre-order sparrow from game....the CE red ghost shell or the beta emblems. same with these shaders/emotes and class items. few weeks down the line...it will go stale and no one will care. it makes no huge difference...now psn exclusive guns n stuff...is something i would expect to see threads about. :/ *hawkmoon a pvp beast and xbox will only get it in a few weeks...and it takes months to drop...ouch.

It's just some useless junk that kids will beg their parents for. Stuff like this happens in many games, it's not a new idea, and it's certainly not a kick in the face. Just play the shit out of the content we'll be getting with TTK and have fun.

1 ReplySo let me get this straight, if I want a $40 expansion and $20 emotes and extras, it'll add up to the same price of the new Taken King Destiny? They basically just made it sound like they did a lot for us. For $20 in an expansion I get around 10+ class items, 2 shaders, several emblems, and around 20 weapons. Yet for $20 I can separately purchase around 10 items, where an expansion does more for the same price. WTF Bungie?

6 RepliesSo I'm paying 40$ for TTK and the exclusive year one players stuff. In addition they said have more coming for those of us who have Vanilla, I and II already. This is good in my opinion what's everyone bitching at? The additional stuff is likely the legendary pack perks like the additional emotes and stuff. Why is everyone so butt hurt?
