Sooooo many thorn scrubs lol
I understand you can't win in a firefight so you need something that doubles as a sniper with a 2 shot kill...... But seriously can we just put all thorn users in a lobby to themselves lol?

3 RepliesHush little baby don't you cry, Thorn's gonna sing you a lullaby. Two straight shots to your head, to make sure you wind up stone-cold dead. And if that good ol' Thorn don't kill, Damage Over Time will make sure it will. Fusions and shotguns don't you fret, post mortem kills is what we'll get. And if you're still alive, be-ware. There's plenty more Thorns in the Garden out there.

If you can't counter Thorn when there's Red Death, Mythoclast, TLW, Hawkmoon, MIDA, Plug 1, Pocket Infinity, Shotguns and blink then the Thorn isn't the problem.

When i use thorn, i die from Red death, vex, lord of wolves, matador 64, party crasher, felwinters, ice breaker, ldr, any machine gun, any rocket, last word, oversoul edict, Mida, any ToO gun, the strangers rifle, thorn, fang of ir yut, fatebringer, invective, Suros, Abyss Defiant, Red hand, Her mercy, Gheleons demise, light of the abyss, plug one, trolley problem, plan c, and a few others. Thorn and last words like crazy. Hand cannons are seriously strong. But I'm ok with that there are many ways to beat them.

All it would need is a slower fire rate and it would be pretty balanced it would still tear you up but then people couldn't spray with it.

I do agree that thorn is overpowered, but its fun to outgun them using bad juju. It makes me feel very accomplished lol.

5 RepliesSoooo many Thorn cry babies. I understand you're not good enough to counter a Thorn player so you cry like a little kid because you think it's not fair. I'm not very good in crucible but I can counter them and if they do kill me I don't pitch a fit and post cry baby threads.

It seems like a solid 50% of my deaths are from thorn, so I kinda agree. If it doesn't seem to kill me one shot the poison melts my soul away anyway. I don't know though, red death usually prevents me from dying from it

Like I saw posted in another Thorn thread, if you have to choose between having a big wang or a little wang, you are never going to choose the little one because it requires more skill. Personally I think high impact hand cannons are a bit OP there is basically no diversity in the crucible, iron banner, or ToO and that pretty much proves it. It doesn't necessarily need a nerf but other weapons need to be brought in line so they are viable again. Until then I will keep using whatever weapon I have the most success with.

The affects from it are just memorable and it forces you to seek cover or go all-in. There are several other weapons that are on par with it, and you don't see everyone bitching about those. The Last Word has a faster time to kill and despite having very short range can still nuke someone down cross-map. Vex also nukes people super fast from across the map. Red Death takes two bursts to the head to kill, and it heals you. I could continue, but its a waste of time. Bitches are going to bitch anyway. I like thorn. It's unique. I don't mind dying to it, and I like killing people like you with it. Enjoy your poison burn.

Considering its acceptable to use the last word, which is glitched to shitI have deemed it acceptable to abuse the thorn. Since bug abuse its accepted in the community I have no problems using a blatantly overpowered gun, only difference is I dont deny its overpoweredness
