If you use Thorn, you are NOT skilled. Period. End of discussion.
Title says enough. Thorn is the most broke gun right now, and everyone abuses it and think they are the best in the world. When this gun gets nerfed it will be a great day for crucible. Iron Banner is unplayable when its a team of 6 thorns, especially with the new green goo that gets put on your screen. Talk about ridiculous and unnecessary, it was strong enough as it was. It has more range than Hawkmoon, the hand cannon that is advertised as a long range gun. Every single of these "Elite Clans" just use Thorn and Felwinter/Insert Spamming Sniper Here. Its crazy how people with no skill can think they are so good when they have a crutch every single match.
Edit: Look at all the Thorn scrubs coming to defend the only weapon they use in crucible. Its great how pathetic you guys are.
Edit2: What is even better is these people talking about my kills with weapons and don't even realize they are talking about PvE kills, and it even records kills for weapons you don't even have if someone is next to you. Thanks for the laughs.
Edit3: I have every exotic weapon except for the dregs promise, lord of wolves, and fate of all fools, so that's also no issue. K thx bye.

6 Replies*sigh* so I'm not skilled because I used a weapon that works for my advantage? A strategical weapon I use to win matches in an tournament type of game? If you haven't figured out how to strategically use the guns/jumps/super/ & grenades (which you obviously haven't) then your just trash. Turn you game off, go to GameStop with your game and destiny, & return them both. Stick to watching tv. Not playing games.

I used Thorn. Now I have The Scholar and am doing better with that. Am I a scrub for using a 2HK weapon? (The Scholar kills in 2HSs with reactive reload) I think not.

For me it's not about how easy it is to win with thorn... its that everyone spams the mothers out of it, making the trials and crucible(Sometimes) boring and unstratigic. I have thorn but choose not to use it as i like to vary my weponary and strategies. Mida is what I choose against thorn and I generally come out on top with 4 rapid head shots.

6 RepliesI hate the Thorn much like many, and while I think it would be best to keep the gun the same, but get rid of the poison. (People are gonna cry if that happened, "That was what made the Thorn so cool!" Well, yeah. But it just finishes the job you failed to do when I got away. It's a pitiful excuse for a kill, when I kill a thorn user, but they still stick the two shots in me which doesn't kill me until the poison kicks in. I feel the best ways to balance the Thorn is to either remove the poisoning effects, but leave the heavy damage and range as is... reduce the damage and range, but keep the poison intact, or, as someone's suggested is to only reward the poison damage when they've landed a headshot instead of body shots.

When thorn gets nerfed, some other weapon will take it's place, and then you'll start crying again.
