If you use Thorn, you are NOT skilled. Period. End of discussion.
Title says enough. Thorn is the most broke gun right now, and everyone abuses it and think they are the best in the world. When this gun gets nerfed it will be a great day for crucible. Iron Banner is unplayable when its a team of 6 thorns, especially with the new green goo that gets put on your screen. Talk about ridiculous and unnecessary, it was strong enough as it was. It has more range than Hawkmoon, the hand cannon that is advertised as a long range gun. Every single of these "Elite Clans" just use Thorn and Felwinter/Insert Spamming Sniper Here. Its crazy how people with no skill can think they are so good when they have a crutch every single match.
Edit: Look at all the Thorn scrubs coming to defend the only weapon they use in crucible. Its great how pathetic you guys are.
Edit2: What is even better is these people talking about my kills with weapons and don't even realize they are talking about PvE kills, and it even records kills for weapons you don't even have if someone is next to you. Thanks for the laughs.
Edit3: I have every exotic weapon except for the dregs promise, lord of wolves, and fate of all fools, so that's also no issue. K thx bye.

1 ReplyWell if you aren't using a thorn, you are crippling yourself. Thorn is easily the best gun for crucible. It'd be a waste to not use it.

Well....you don't seem to understand that the weapon requires concentration to fire it at the enemy and yet the user the a to die anyways since they are focused on that one shot so what's your point? Sure the Mark of the Devourer perk makes things easier no doubt about that but that doesn't excuse the fact that it requires skills to use a weapon when against a lot of enemies. And yet this also applies to TLW but no one understands that people have exploited a glitch that may need to be fixed but I digress. Like TLW, Thorn needs skill to use and those user well can say they will use different weapons to better their precision. But since you don't take a full look at what it's beauty though it's background and have used it sometime in your game play and found out the lore between the light and dark of its history then you can't judge a weapon in its entirety.

Me and my boys came up against some pretty skilled trials players. They was all using thorn. Our party chat -blam!-ed up after they won the first round after loosing 3 more trying to sort it out we decided to just sweat it out with only 2 of us being able to talk, we was using all legendary primaries hopscotch messenger and a spare change. We managed to win the game 5-4 with clever use of supers and my mate being absolutely amazing even though we couldn't talk to him ! End of the day a good team of people not using thorn can beat a team with thorn in amazing circumstances with great team work

Your opponents have guns, you go to chose your weapon. Do you..? A. Pick the knife. Because it takes way more skill to absorb eight shots to the chest as you charge your opponent. B. Take the gun

4 RepliesYou're a scrub complaining about the thorn, use the red death and it literally renders the thorn useless, see a skilled player finds ways to get around things like that and adapt, I got 5 flawless trials and never once picked up the thorn and every team I played against was using them, people who use thron are so easy and predictable to kill. I guarantee any "sweaty" competitive crucible player has better aim than you with all guns, not just thorn. I don't care how powerful it is, it still takes skill to get a two pop, same with last word, and with hawkmoon. So if your complaining about a gun that's "so OP" your not asking for a nerf to the gun, you're asking for a nerf to superior players. Grow up. We've known thorn and last word were broken since last year. All you people just getting in to trials and crucible for the first time now think you've discovered some cause for revolution: "Nerf Thorn or Riot!", while competitive players have been talking about it way back since its buff in November. Seriously. Stop complaining. You can use any exotic hand cannon just as well as another. But because thorn, for its better accessibility and kill potential than last word and hawkmoon, appears so often in ToO, you immediately assume its impossible to counter and start crying. Don't speak on what you don't know.
